Who’s Going

Days of Our Lives

Cary Christopher (Thomas DiMera): The actor updated his fans on Facebook about his departure from the Peacock soap. “Yes it is true,” he shared. “I left Days of our Lives several months ago because I booked a role as a series regular for a new show coming to Amazon Prime [the faith-based series It’s Not Like That] in 2026. Days of our Lives was such a dream set to work on. I started on this beloved soap when I was just 4. How lucky am I that I got to call it my home for almost 6 years!? I have been so blessed to always be busy working but because of that I couldn’t be in two places at once and I had to leave the show to go work on other projects. I will always hold a lot of memories from being on Days and Billy Flynn [Chad] and I got to share a nice goodbye. Billy- you were the best tv dad a kid could have. It always was so great working with you and learning from you. And thank you, Days fans!! You all are the best.” He added, “I can’t say where Thomas’s story leads, and I don’t know! so you’ll have to continue to tune in! I’m next on as Thomas DiMera on Oct 22nd and Oct 31st.” Christopher then updated where fans can find him elsewhere. “Next up for me- Weapons will begin streaming on HBO Max next week if you missed it in theaters! In two weeks you can catch me guest starring on Chicago Med. In 2026 / 2027: the live action series of Spider-Noir will be coming out, I’ll also be in Lanterns, and you can watch me as Justin in the family drama It’s Not Like That.

Industry News

Giving Thanks At BTG: The new CBS soap celebrates the holidays with two special episodes, featuring an original song from series star Clifton Davis (Vernon), and a serenade to ring in 2026 by special guest star singer Kenny Lattimore. Colleagues Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) are pulled into each other’s romantic orbit, much to the chagrin of Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant), and the entire Dupree family is left reeling from a health crisis.

Real-Life Status

Oh, Baby: Katrina Bowden (ex-Flo, B&B) gave birth to her first child with husband Adam Taylor. “Rowyn Sage Taylor💕10/12/25,” the actress announced on Instagram. “Her birth was simultaneously the most emotional, difficult and joyful experience of our lives. She is healthy, happy, home and we are just so in love. We are deep in the newborn bubble of contact naps, cluster feeds and just staring at her beautiful face all day. Will share more soon.” In the comments, she added, “Her nickname will still be sandstorm, for all those invested in that side of things ✌🏼” Former co-star Tanner Novlan (Finn) commented, “Biggest congrats!!! 🎉 🥹❤️”

Oh, Baby Part II: Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy, B&B) shared the news about the birth of her fifth son, Talon. The infant joins big brothers Rise (born March 2019), Lenix (February 2021), Brando (May 2022) and Valor James (born August 2023) with husband Elan Ruspoli. The actress also updated fans via her newsletter. She addressed wanting to have a digital detox as well as rumors. “I also know there’s been a lot of speculation and rumors online,” she wrote. “So let me gently clear the air: some of the clickbait stories were not rooted in truth. Not everything you see on the internet is real—it’s a good reminder for all of us to put on our critical-thinking caps and question narratives. For the record, we have a beautiful, healthy baby boy, everything has been wonderful, and the stories that circulated over the last few months are not true. And it’s been beautifully busy over here ✨ Think early mornings filled with breakfast-making, letting out the chickens and ducks, walking the dogs, and juggling enrichment classes, road trips, and all the magic of family life. And the most special news of all… we welcomed our newest baby boy: Talon Ruspoli 💙 We had a peaceful home birth surrounded by our sons, and I’ll be sharing our birth story soon (for those of you who love reading birth stories as much as I do 🥰). Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your patience, your kindness, and the warm messages you’ve sent during this quiet season. Our hearts are so full.”

Ah, Romance: Blake Berris (ex-Everett/Bobby/Nick, DAYS) went public with his new lady, Busy Philipps (Dawson’s Creek), at the 2025 Daytime Emmys red carpet. Berris has not publicly addressed his split from wife Alexandra McGuinness, with whom he has three kids. Philipps separated from her ex, Marc Silverstein, in 2021. The pair shares two children.

Separate Lives: Bryton James (Devon, Y&R) filed for divorce from his wife, Jahaira. The pair married in March of this year and separated three months later in June. He cited irreconcilable differences. James was previously married to Ashley Leisinger and was also involved with former Y&R co-star Brytni Sarpy (ex-Elena).
