Canadian-born Jacqueline MacInnes Wood moved to Toronto to pursue acting when she turned 18. There, she enlisted in classes at Ryerson University, Centre for the Arts and The Armstrong Acting Studios. While working in Canada, she did commercial work and appeared in the series RUNAWAY, LOVEBITES and M.V.P.

In 2008, the actress moved out to Los Angeles. That spring, she landed the role of B&B’s Steffy. Meanwhile, she continued to do outside projects, including the Hallmark movie THE NIGHTMARE AT THE END OF THE HALL, in which she played a dual role, and the TV movie, TURN THE BEAT AROUND.

When MacInnes Wood was first cast as Steffy, she was a “good girl,” who enjoyed a romance with Marcus. Recently, though, the character has gained a shady side as she’s attempted to come between Bill and Katie and Hope and Liam, which suits the actress just fine. “It’s fun playing the bad girl and getting to say things that you wouldn’t dare say in real life,” she tells Digest.

In October 2010, she landed a starring role in the upcoming horror flick, Final Destination 5. MacInnes Wood took a few months off from B&B so she could film in Vancouver. Executive Producer/Head Writer Brad Bell promises that Steffy will have a juicy storyline upon her homecoming.
