General Hospital’s Michael Corinthos: A History of His Romantic Disasters

Michael (then-Chad Duell) and Abby’s relationship blossomed after his release from prison for killing Claudia. Abby became the person Michael could open up to about being raped in prison, while Michael supported her as she left stripping and tried to build a new life. When women at her former workplace were attacked, Michael sent Abby to Chicago for her safety — and while they were on the phone in 2011, she was fatally injured in a construction accident.

In 2012, Michael and Port Charles newcomer Starr fell in love as he helped her grieve the deaths of her daughter and fiancé and he grappled with his biological father AJ's return from the dead and the loss of his grandfather, Edward. But in 2013, Starr abruptly headed to Los Angeles and subsequently dumped Michael over the phone.

Sparks flew when Michael met Kiki in 2013, but they tried to resist their attraction given that she was dating his brother, Morgan, and they also believed they were cousins. After learning they were not related and Kiki annulling her brief and ill-advised marriage to Morgan, Michael and Kiki's relationship flourished — that is, until he found out that she'd been keeping a huge secret from him (that his adoptive dad, Sonny, killed his biological dad, AJ), got drunk and slept with Rosalie Martinez.

Michael and Sabrina formed a strong bond of friendship in 2015 that blossomed into romance, and when Sabrina told her she was pregnant, the duo declared their love. Months later, Michael was hurt when Sabrina admitted he wasn't the father — her ex, Carlos, was. She gave birth to a son, Teddy, and Michael and Sabrina reconciled — but on the very day in 2016 that he was set to propose to her, she was murdered by Paul Hornsby.

Michael took scheming Nelle as a lover in 2017, but after catching her in one too many lies, he ended their romance. Nelle, however, was pregnant, and she and Michael reconciled and wed — but behind Michael's back, she was plotting to kill him for his money, and behind her back, he was scheming to prove that she was a murderous criminal. In 2018, he revealed that he had tricked her (their marriage was invalid) and  she retaliated by giving their newborn son to Brad to raise, lying to Michael that he died. Eventually, the truth came out, Michael got custody of Wiley and Nelle plummeted off a cliff to her death.

Michael fell hard and fast for Sasha in 2019, but her checkered past became an issue in 2020 when he was trying to win custody of Wiley. So, Sasha and Chase (who was dating Willow at the time) pretended to have been carrying on an affair, causing Michael and Willow to dump them. It was only after he and Willow married and Sasha had spiraled into drug addiction that Michael found out about the sacrifice Sasha had made. They briefly reunited in 2021, but Michael was in love with Willow. Then, in 2024, they drunkenly slept together while Michael was married to Willow, conceiving a daughter, Daisy.

Michael and Willow bonded as friends in a bereavement support group in 2018, and they entered into a marriage of convenience in 2020 to ensure that Michael would prevail in court when he and Nelle battled for custody of Wiley. Tender feelings emerged and they slept together — and even though they got an annulment and she wed Chase, they couldn't resist falling back into bed. They remarried in 2023 and welcomed a baby girl, Amelia, but divorced in 2025 after infidelity on both sides (him with Sasha, her with Drew).

In 2025, when Michael was in need of an alibi for the night of Drew's shooting, he turned to paid escort Jacinda. Before long, their pretend involvement turned into the real deal, but when Willow took out a restraining order to block Jacinda from being around young Wiley and Amelia, Jacinda took things a bit too far by slipping molly into Willow's drink. Concerned that Willow might use this as ammo in a custody war between them, Michael told Jacinda it was over, gifting her the funds to start a new life away from Port Charles.
