The daughter of Young and Restless co-creators William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, Lauralee Bell was born and raised in Chicago, IL, before the family moved to Los Angeles. After beginning her career as an extra on Y&R when she was a child, Bell was later cast on the soap as teen model Christine “Cricket” Blair in 1983. Bell won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1999. In addition to her work on Y&R, Bell has appeared in shows like Diagnosis Murder, Walker, Texas Ranger, CSI: Miami, and Castle, as well as in movies like Mistress Hunter, Nightmare Tenant, and V.C. Andrews’ Ruby and Pearl in the Mist. She also produced, wrote, and directed the Daytime Emmy Award-winning short mI promise. Bell and her husband, photographer Scott Martin, are the proud parents of two children, son Christian (b. January 2001) and daughter Samantha (b. October 2002).
