Jack (Peter Bergman) is desperate to rescue Diane (Susan Walters) from where she’s being held prisoner by the doctor that Patty (Stacy Haiduk) hired to get her rival out of the way. “Look, all I really have to do is lure the doctor away from his house,” Jack suggests. But Billy (Jason Thompson) worries that his brother isn’t thinking this through clearly. “Yeah, and what happens when he becomes suspicious of you?” he wonders. Can they put their heads together and come up with a plan that will work to bring Diane home safe and sound?

After weeks of suffering blinding headaches, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) finally agreed to see a doctor at Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) insistence. Unfortunately, what the doctor tells her is clearly not good news as Nikki sits there, shellshocked, as Victoria attempts to reassure her mother. “I promise you, we’re going to do everything we can to fix this, okay?” she insists, her voice cracking with emotion. Nikki just sits there, stunned, as she shakes her head and mutters, “This cannot be happening.”

Anna Devane Returns

When Anna last appeared, she was in a psychiatric facility in France, undergoing treatment after Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) pumped her with hallucinogenic drugs. Cullum’s goal was to prevent Anna from derailing the dangerous cold fusion project he and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) were scrambling to complete, which had originally been the handiwork of Anna’s longtime enemy, the late Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

While Anna has been hospitalized in France, her loved ones have been deeply concerned about her mental state, and in May, Laura (Genie Francis) broke the news to Anna’s granddaughter, Emma (Braedyn Bruner), that the cunning Ms. Devane had escaped and nearly made it all the way to Switzerland before being recaptured. As a result, she had been transferred to a higher-security facility. But Congresswoman Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) agreed to advocate for Anna and got her moved to a less restrictive institution. And when Anna is seen again on Wednesday, June 24, GH teasers say that she will be meeting with her doctors.

Anna’s Dramatic Summer

In Digest‘s exclusive GH summer preview, Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten revealed several juicy tidbits related to Anna’s upcoming story. They teased that Anna “has the goods on Cassius [Ryan Paevey] but struggles to get the word out while institutionalized in France” and that fans would “begin to see the long-term effects of her imprisonment and gaslighting at Cullum’s [Andrew Hawkes] hands.” They cautioned,” Any happy reunions with friends and family are colored by counsel from a less-than-reliable source. We’ll see echoes of Anna’s earliest incarnation as she returns to Port Charles with deadly intentions.”

But in the summer preview, Anna was also mentioned in conjunction with other storylines across the canvas, including the burgeoning romance of Anna’s former lover, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), and Carly (Laura Wright). Korte and Van Etten mused that Valentin and Carly’s future is “at the mercy of the WSB… as well as the multitude of people back in Port Charles who can’t stand Valentin… and one who can – Anna Devane.”

Korte and Van Etten also noted that Anna’s “return to Port Charles means Rocco [Finn Carr] isn’t yet out of the woods for shooting Cullum” and that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) would face some hard questions from Ms. Devane — and that a major decision made by another returning fan favorite, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), would have “big implications” for Anna.

Sending Out an S.O.S.

Worried that Britt’s symptoms were returning, Rocco asked Charlotte and Danny to get in touch with Nathan, hoping that Britt’s brother could get her more medicine. He gave his friends his address in the British Virgin Islands but made them promise not to share the location with anyone other than Nathan. Once he hung up, Rocco checked on Britt, who was still recovering from her collapse, and she confided that she’d hoped her Huntington’s symptoms wouldn’t be an issue so soon.

Meanwhile, Charlotte and Danny went to Nina’s to see “Nathan” and relayed Rocco’s message that Britt needed him to get her the special medication. Charlotte gave “Nathan” the contact info for Rocco’s burner phone. To protect the teens from any involvement (since Britt had technically abducted Rocco), Cassius provided them with a plausible cover story about why they had visited Nina’s house. Promising that he’d take care of things, he warned them not to call Rocco.

Shortly after Danny and Charlotte returned to the boathouse, she got another call from her brother and confirmed that they’d been in touch with Nathan. Rocco rushed off the phone when a weak Britt called out for him. When she asked who he’d been talking to, Rocco lied that it was the woman in the villa next door. Britt reminded him to keep a low profile because they couldn’t afford for anyone to find them.

One Step Closer

Dante dropped by Lulu’s house to give her an update on Rocco’s location and got into an argument with Ethan, blaming Lulu’s brother for getting Rocco the fake passport that enabled him to leave town. After Ethan stepped out to give the two privacy, Dante revealed that Brick had tracked Rocco and Britt to the British Virgin Islands but didn’t have an exact location. Lulu wanted to fly there immediately, but Dante worried that would lead Cullum to their son.

Dante said they should just wait for Brick to find Rocco’s exact location, and Lulu agreed, but voiced her hope that Rocco and Britt didn’t disappear again in the meantime. Lulu wondered what they’d do when they did find their son, and Dante proposed that the three of them go into hiding as she’d originally planned — and he’d make sure that Britt faced charges for leaving the country with the teen. Later, “Nathan” showed up and informed Dante and Lulu that he knew where Britt and Rocco were.

Permanent Vacation

Visiting Jack at Turning Woods, Carly told her ex that Valentin went to see Z at the WSB. She explained that not only did they suspect that Cullum had recruited Obrecht to finish the cold fusion prototype, but she’d found proof that Josslyn was being held captive at Wyndemere. Jack was glad that Valentin had done the right thing by going to Geneva, but was alarmed when Carly added that Cullum had shown up at her house with a warrant looking for Val. She further explained that Valentin had twice used a burner phone to call the French clinic and check on Anna, which was how she believed Cullum had linked her to Valentin. Proclaiming that she was now in the same danger as Valentin, Jack advised Carly to leave Port Charles until Cullum was neutralized — or she might wind up dead.

Stories I Tell

Earlier, Felicia stopped by Nina’s condo to chat with “Nathan,” wondering if he’d stepped back from seeing James lately because of the way she’d reacted when he began dating Lulu. Knowing that he’d let James down when his true identity inevitably came to light, Cassius offered a half-truth: James’s home was with Maxie and Spinelli and the rest of the Scorpio family, and he didn’t want to intrude on those relationships.

Felicia encouraged “Nathan” not to put distance between himself and his son, stating that James loved and needed him. Marveling at the strong bond he and James formed in such a short time, Cassius confided that the boy made him want to be a better man. Deciding to take Felicia’s advice, “Nathan” offered to take James to the batting cages the following week. But when Felicia hugged him on her way out, Cassius was consumed with guilt.

Drawing a Line

Trina filled her boss in on the fight that went down between her parents at the baby shower after Ava left. Acknowledging that Kai was correct all the times he’d said that her relationship with her parents was unhealthy, Trina declared that she was going to stop playing peacemaker and needed to walk away from her parents so she could focus on her own life.

Ava noted that she’d been similarly cut out by her daughter, the late Kiki, and assured Trina that she was doing the right thing by setting boundaries. But Ava suggested that Trina have a conversation with her parents about her decision rather than cutting them off with no explanation. After Trina left the gallery, Ethan arrived and told Ava that Sonny wanted to see her right away.

Over at Portia’s house, she and Curtis decided that since they were both getting the silent treatment from Trina, they’d set aside their animosity and be civil toward one another for the sake of their children. Because they had a fundamental difference of opinion regarding Isaiah’s supposed involvement in Jordan’s accident, they also agreed not to force blending the family and not to include their significant others when they needed to spend time together.

In light of their new compromise, Portia invited Curtis to join her at her next ultrasound appointment. But as she walked Curtis out, Portia opened the door to find Trina on the other side — determined to set her new boundaries with her parents.

Christopher Sean and Colton Little Return

Sean’s character, Paul, is the son of Marlena’s late husband, John Black (Drake Hogestyn). The actor began playing the role in 2014, and though he left in 2018, he has returned regularly for visits. He was last seen in November 2025, when Paul attended the dedication of the Tom Horton Free Clinic as part of DAYS‘ 60th anniversary celebration.

“It’s always a blast coming back,” Sean told Soap Opera Digest in 2024. “DAYS is my first home. It gave me my first opportunity in Hollywood and a contract role.” Sean noted that being asked back to the show was always meaningful to him, saying, “To continue to be part of such an ongoing legacy is one of the coolest merits I can receive in Hollywood.”

While Andrew was born to legacy supercouple Shane and Kim back in 1986, Little only began playing him in 2022. He first appeared on the Peacock-streaming DAYS spinoff Beyond Salem: Chapter 2, then moved over to the main show in 2023.

Paul and Andrew’s visit roughly coincides not only with DAYS’s tribute to Hall’s remarkable career as Marlena, but with the on-screen lovebirds’ first wedding anniversary. They said, “I do” on June 24, 2025.

2025 was also a significant year in the love life of Little, who went public with his romance with General Hospital‘s Adrian Anchondo (ex-Marco Rios) in December.

Billy Flynn’s Year in Genoa City

“I just love it here,” says Flynn, who made the jump to Y&R after spending over a decade on Days of Our Lives as Chad DiMera. He singles out his castmates for making his first year on the show so rich. “The cast is so incredible, it sometimes feels like an all-star team,” he muses. “There are so many vets and people who’ve been on the show for a long time, all great actors, and I still feel like I’m the new guy, because I’ve been [in soaps] for the least amount of time. Coming over to Young and Restless and getting to work with these people who are so good, I feel like I get to push myself and learn from them. I feel like I’m doing that all the time with people like Jason Thompson [Billy], Michelle Stafford [Phyllis], Eric Braeden [Victor], Peter Bergman [Jack], Roger Howarth, Christel Khalil [Lily], Bryton James [Devon]. I mean, it’s insane! These people are all so good. So it’s just been a real dream.”

Howarth is one of Flynn’s newest scene partners and has quickly made an impression on him. “Roger’s a beauty,” says Flynn, adding with a chuckle, “There’s your quote! But seriously, I had scenes the other day with him, and then with him and Michelle, and it was such a fun dynamic. Roger is so playful and so fun to work with and so good at what he does. He’s wonderful! And I think the stuff that we have together is going to be really fun. It’s just starting to pick up a bit.”

Flynn was even compared to Howarth early in his own soap career. “It’s funny; when Marni [Saitta, casting director] cast me on Days of Our Lives 13 years ago, I remember her saying to me, ‘You remind me of this guy Roger from General Hospital [where he played Franco Baldwin at the time].’ I don’t think she knew Roger personally, she was just a fan of his work. So, anyway, I’ve known of Roger for a long time, myself, and now to be working with him is really cool.”

Flynn Senses A ‘Vibe Change’ Toward Cane

On the show, both Flynn and Howarth are playing new versions of established characters. Both are recasts, and while Matt has recently undergone a personality shift due to a bout of amnesia, Cane’s transformation was brought about by the writers taking a new approach to him since his reintroduction last year.

“It feels like I’m finally starting to get people turned around on this new version of Cane,” Flynn shares. “This character was established a lot longer by somebody [original portrayer Daniel Goddard] than when I took over as Chad DiMera,” who had previously been played by Casey Deidrick. “So, obviously, I knew coming in that it was going to take time with such a drastic change in the character. But I’m starting to understand the the character a little bit more. He’s starting to become more my own, and I feel like I’m starting to peel back the onion a bit more.”

Flynn has also picked up on increasing viewer acceptance of a renewed romance between Cane and Lily. “I think where Cane and Lily are concerned, we’re making headway [winning over fans],” he nods. “I’m starting to see people’s vibe change with that.”

While their road to reconciliation has not been without its bumps, the actor says, “At the end of the day, he does love her so much, I think that Cane is such a lonely soul — I seem to always play characters that are lonely, sort of brooding souls — but I think he’s really striving for connection. And not just with Lily; the version of Cane that I play strives for even a connection with Billy, you know? That kind of brother connection. I think that ultimately, Cane wants to do the right thing by people, but at the same time, he’s just got a little bit of that bad boy in him, so sometimes he can’t help himself!”

With one year as Cane now under his belt, Flynn is looking forward to a bright future on the show. “It’s just been a dream year,” he smiles. “And I’m excited for the next one, and the next one, and hopefully many more to come!”

Difficult Conversations

Cassius (Ryan Paevey) learns of a new situation and asks them, ‘Did you tell anybody about this?” Given the concern in his voice, it’s likely he’s in “Nathan” mode, which means he should be much more willing to help with whatever the problem is.

What Joe Learned (and Why It Matters)

In the June 18 episode, recently introduced PCPD detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett), who has been looking into Britt and Rocco’s (Finn Carr) disappearance, had one of the syringes found in Britt’s room analyzed. The lab result: saline. When Joe asked Lucas (Van Hansis) why anyone would inject themselves with saline, Lucas couldn’t offer a medical explanation, noting that the substance is harmless.

This new detail could have major implications for Britt, who has been operating under the belief — cultivated by Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) — that an experimental drug is the only thing keeping her Huntington’s symptoms at bay. Was she misled into thinking her Huntington’s disease was being managed — and, more importantly, was she manipulated into believing she was dying in the first place?

Britt’s Huntington’s Timeline

Huntington’s is a rare neurodegenerative disorder that gradually damages nerve cells in the brain. Britt’s own Huntington’s story began in December 2020, when she started experiencing hand tremors and feared she was developing the disease that impacted her late father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove). Her anxiety escalated in May 2021 after Jason (Steve Burton) persuaded her to see a doctor, and Britt was told she had the genetic markers for the condition. The news devastated her.

Not wanting her friends and loved ones to watch her slowly die from the ravages of Huntington’s, Britt secretly made plans to leave town after her New Year’s Eve birthday party and disappear as 2023 began. But after slipping out of her celebration at The Haunted Star, Britt stumbled upon The Hook, aka Heather Webber (Alley Mills), attempting to kill Josslyn (Eden McCoy). Britt intervened and Josslyn was spared, but in the process, Britt was sliced by The Hook’s poisoned weapon. She returned to the party, found Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) still there, and died in her mother’s arms.

Britt’s “Miracle Cure”

That death was later revealed to have been a lie. In July 2025, viewers learned that Britt’s death had been faked by evil actors Sidwell and Cullum, with assistance from her surprise brother, Cassius (Ryan Paevey). They wanted her help completing Faison’s final project involving cold fusion. As part of the arrangement — and as the key leverage keeping Britt working under their control — Britt was provided an experimental medication that she believed was keeping her Huntington’s from progressing.

When Britt returned to Port Charles, she continued working under duress and attempted to secure a sample of the drug to reproduce it so that she could get out from under Sidwell and Cullum’s control. When her efforts failed, Britt ultimately went on the run with Rocco rather than give Sidwell and Cullum what they wanted.

In the British Virgin Islands, the situation escalated when Rocco found Britt unconscious on the floor of the house where they were hiding — a moment that suggested Britt’s health, and the limits of her “treatment,” were still very much in play.

But now the lab results Joe has procured introduce a new variable: if one of Britt’s syringes contained only saline, what has she actually been taking — and who has been controlling the narrative around her illness?

What Happens Next

There are several directions the show could take this. The most straightforward is that Britt was given a placebo to keep her compliant: a “miracle drug” cover story that ensured she remained useful, frightened, and dependent on Cullum and Sidwell, who appeared to be holding her life in their hands. Another possibility is that the syringe Joe tested wasn’t the same substance Britt has been receiving, perhaps a decoy planted by Cullum.

But the saline reveal also raises questions about Britt’s original diagnosis and symptoms. Was it all a scam on Cullum and Sidwell’s part to force Britt into working on their project? Were her Huntington’s symptoms genuine, or did the villains cause those, too? Does Britt even have Huntington’s disease?

On social media, fans have speculated for months that the show planned to reverse Britt’s terminal prognosis, and that theory has only gained ground since Soap Opera Digest published its exclusive GH Summer Preview with Head Writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten. In that interview, the writers teased, “A huge revelation gives Britt a new lease on life.” On X (formerly Twitter), one viewer confidently declared in the preview’s comment section, “Britt never had Huntington’s,” adding, “I can see it coming from a mile away.”

Danger In Paradise

In Tortola, British Virgin Islands, Britt promised Rocco that once Sidwell and Cullum were taken down, it would be safe for him to return home. Knowing he was homesick, Britt gave Rocco her VPN-protected tablet to check up on happenings back in Port Charles, and they learned that Sidwell had shot Lucas and escaped police custody. Britt’s hands began to shake, but she hid the symptom from Rocco. Later, Rocco found her passed out on the floor. He roused her back to consciousness and she insisted that she was fine.

At the Quartermaine boathouse, Charlotte burned her fake passport and the key Valentin used to communicate with her. The frustrated teen vented to Danny about her father turning himself in to the head of the WSB to take down Cullum. Danny was hopeful that the WSB would shut down the project at Wyndemere and Valentin would be hailed a hero — and then perhaps his own father would be released. Huffing that Valentin was more likely to be sent back to Steinmauer for the rest of his life, Charlotte declared that she and Danny could also stop Cullum. After that, Charlotte answered a call from an unknown number, hoping it was Valentin. But it was actually a panicked Rocco on the line, and he frantically told his sister he needed her help.

Shortly after Ezra bumped into Jacinda at the Metro Court Gardens, he received a text message from her with an invitation to join her in one of the hotel rooms. Ezra set a romantic scene for him and his favorite escort, but it was Sidwell who showed up instead, having sent the message from a mirrored phone! Reminding Ezra that he still had leverage over him, Sidwell warned him that he expected the councilman to assist in his revenge against Laura, Sonny, and Cullum.

A Time to Kill

Laura was waiting for Jordan at the Metro Court Gardens when Sonny stopped at her table. But when he told Laura he was confident that Sidwell would be dealt with, the mayor was worried by what Sonny was implying. Spotting Ric, Sonny crossed to meet his brother. Jordan arrived to dine with Laura and questioned her about the PCPD sting operation with Sidwell. Laura came clean, revealing that Jenz had been blackmailing her and Sonny with fabricated evidence. Jordan warned Laura not to let her guard down because Sidwell was likely going to strike back. Now that Jordan was no longer working for SRE Worldwide, Laura wondered if her lieutenant mayor would return to city government. Jordan said she was looking forward to figuring out what her next chapter would be.

Meanwhile, Sonny updated Ric on Brick’s search for Rocco and Britt. Ric was disappointed to have been excluded from his brother’s plan with Laura, Lucas, and the PCPD to entrap Sidwell. Sonny assured his brother that while Lucas might not trust Ric (because of his checkered past with Carly and Elizabeth), he did. Bringing Ric into the loop on the next phase of his plan, Sonny revealed that he intended to lure Sidwell out of hiding, then kill his nemesis himself.

At G.H., Elizabeth was checking up on Lucas when Dante arrived at the hub looking for Joe, who was bringing in an injured suspect. Once the detective and commissioner connected, Joe confirmed that the perp was a known associate of Sidwell. Dante suggested that if they got the perp talking, they might get a clue about how Nathan was intercepted. Joe wondered if Sidwell had someone on the inside who’d helped with the ambush.

Later, Joe crossed paths with Lucas and became defensive when Dr. Jones asked how the suspect sustained his injuries, not realizing the question was hospital protocol. Apologizing, Joe confided that he thought Lucas was angry with him for how he’d handled the investigation with Pascal, adding that he hoped he’d get answers from the perp about how Sidwell escaped.

Joe then asked the doctor why someone would have a syringe filled with saline, explaining that it was part of an ongoing investigation without naming Britt. Det. Fitzpatrick was befuddled when Dr. Jones revealed that saline was essentially harmless and wouldn’t do anything if injected.

Meanwhile, Dante updated Liz that Sonny’s guy had tracked Rocco and Britt to the British Virgin Islands, and he was going crazy because he couldn’t fly there immediately to bring his son home without alerting Cullum. Elizabeth commented that it was good he and Lulu were now on the same page regarding Rocco, and Dante confided that it felt like Rocco took off with Britt to get away from his and Lulu’s constant fighting. He still wasn’t sure how he and Lulu could trust one another again but felt better after Liz reassured him that his and Lulu’s co-parenting relationship could take a back seat until Rocco was safely back home.

Cassius was at Nina’s as she gave Jacinda a to-do list that included calling contacts in New Zealand, where her Aunt Liesl had recently attended a conference. Cassius was taken aback that his sister was still searching for his mom, but Nina explained she just wanted to cover all bases, even though he’d made a compelling argument that Liesl had gone looking for Britt.

After Jacinda left, Nina asked “Nathan” if he’d been supporting Lulu with Rocco missing, prompting him to open up about how the relationship had failed. Painfully aware that his days as “Nathan” were numbered, “J” told Nina that he wished he’d been more in tune with what Britt had been going through, and feared he was going to disappoint James. Insisting he was being too hard on himself, Nina told “J” how happy she was when he showed up alive, which made Cassius feel even worse about the lies he was keeping from her. Her pep talk complete, Nina left for the office, telling her brother on the way out that she loved him. Alone, a glum Cassius whispered, “I love you too, sis.”
