Maura West

Daytime powerhouse Maura West burst onto the soap scene in 1995 as Carly Tenney on As the World Turns, a role that (minus a break from 1996-97) she played until the show ended in 2010. Her work as Carly earned her two Daytime Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actress (in 2007 and 2010) and multiple Soap Opera Digest Award nominations. From 2010-11, West appeared on Young and Restless as Diane Jenkins. Then, in 2013, she created the role of mafia princess Ava Jerome on General Hospital, earning another Lead Actress Daytime Emmy in 2015. Married to former ATWT co-star Scott DeFreitas since 2000, West is mom to three sons (Benjamin, Joseph and Basil) and two daughters (Katherine and Birdie).
