Nancy Lee Grahn

Nancy Lee Grahn grew up in Skokie, Illinois. She made her stage debut as a teen and made the move to New York, where she notched her first daytime role, Beverly Wilkes, on One Life to Live, in 1980. Five years later, she rose to fame on Santa Barbara, where she played Julia Wainwright Capwell until the show’s cancellation in 1993, winning the 1989 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Grahn was lured back to daytime in 1996, joining the General Hospital ranks as Alexis Davis and taking home another Supporting Actress statuette in 2012 and winning Lead Actress in 2025. The actress’s prime-time credits include roles on 7th Heaven, Melrose Place, and Murder One. Grahn’s daughter, Kate, was born in 1998.
