Cynthia Watros

Michigan native Cynthia Watros moved to New York City after studying theater at Boston University, and in 1994, she landed on the soap she’d loved growing up: Guiding Light. She won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1998 for her portrayal of devious Annie Dutton. That same year, she exited GL and moved to Los Angeles. She found success in prime-time as a regular on series like The Drew Carey Show and Lost, then returned to daytime from 2013-14 to play Kelly Andrews on Young and RestlessThen, in 2019, she assumed the role of Nina Reeves on General Hospital, for which she has received two more Daytime Emmy nominations. Watros is the mother of twin daughters, Emma and Sadies (born July 2001).
