  • Awards: Daytime Emmy Award, Soap Opera Digest Award

Trained dancer Finola Hughes began her professional career in 1981, originating the role of Victoria the White Cat in the West End production of Cats. She then found fame as John Travolta’s dance partner in the 1983 movie Staying Alive, but is perhaps best known as General Hospital’s Anna Devane, a character she originated in 1985. After winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in 1991, Hughes parted ways with GH and forged a prime-time career on series like BlossomPacific Palisades, and Charmed. Returning to daytime in 1999, Hughes joined the cast of All My Children as Anna’s twin sister, Alex, also playing Anna from 2001-03. After exiting Pine Valley, Hughes and her alter ego visited Port Charles several times (on both GH and the spin-off GH: Night Shift) before returning full-time in 2012. Hughes is the proud mother of three children: Dylan, Cash, and Sadie.
