Raised in the New York City suburb of Great Neck, NY, Amanda Setton developed an interest in acting as a teenager and earned her degree from Ithaca College’s renowned theater arts program. Setton’s professional career began when she nabbed small roles in the 2008 films Sex and the City and What Happens in Vegas before landing on the teen drama Gossip Girl as socialite Penelope Shafai. Her daytime debut came in August 2009 when she joined the cast of One Life to Live as troublemaker Kimberly Andrews. Setton played the troublemaker until April 2010, then returned for a stint in 2011. She made her New York theater debut in 2011 when she joined the ensemble cast of the Off-Broadway play Love, Loss, And What I Wore.
Setton was tapped by General Hospital to bring legacy character Brook Lynn Ashton Quartermaine back to the canvas in 2019 and has been an integral part of the Port Charles drama ever since. In between her daytime stints, the actress had regular roles on the television series The Mindy Project and The Crazy Ones, and guest-starred on Blue Bloods, Hawaii Five-O, and Mercy. Setton lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their three children.
