One of six siblings, Nadia Bjorlin was born in Newport, Rhode Island. Her father, composer/conductor Ulf Bjorlin, was a native of Sweden, and Bjorlin and her family moved there when she was two months old. Upon returning to the States, Ulf took a job conducting the Florida Philharmonic and Palm Beach Symphony. Bjorlin began performing professionally at the age of 6 at her father’s concerts, with her brothers Jean-Paul and Ulf Jr. The threesome was dubbed The Bjorlin Trio.
As Bjorlin’s love for music flourished, she attended the Interlochen Center for the Arts and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, garnering recognition and awards for excellency in theater, voice, music and dance. She later attended the Palm Beach County School of the Arts, and performed with the Palm Beach Opera. Then she moved to New York and enrolled in the Professional Children’s School. She studied alongside Julia Stiles, Gaby Hoffman and Macaulay Culkin.
After graduating from high school, Bjorlin turned her attention to acting. She promptly landed the role of Chloe Lane, a geeky opera singer, on DAYS OF OUR LIVES in 1999, and became one of the show’s most popular characters.
Bjorlin left Days in 2003 and dove into prime time, landing roles on JAKE IN PROGRESS, COMPLETE SAVAGES, SEX, LOVE & SECRETS and OUT OF PRACTICE. She also appeared in the independent feature film If I Had Known I Was a Genius, starring Whoopi Goldberg, Sharon Stone and Tara Reid, and starred in the thriller Redline.
Bjorlin recently regrouped with her brothers, Jean-Paul and Ulf Jr. They performed at the San Gennaro Festival in Hollywood in 2007 and are recording a pop opera.
The single actress enjoys horseback riding, ice skating, swimming, dancing and spending her free time with her family — particularly her interior designer mother, Fary. She is dating her former DAYS co-star Brandon Beemer (ex-Shawn; currently Owen, B&B). Her official Web site is www.nadia-bjorlin.com.
