Until Next Time

Curtis and Jordan made love one last time before he was due to surrender himself to Pentonville. After, Curtis dropped Jordan off at Aurora for a meeting with Michael, then headed to Portia’s house to say goodbye to his kids. There, he told Trina he wanted her to live her life while he was away and not take responsibility for her brother. He added that he was proud of the person Trina had become, and was confident in Portia’s ability to raise Des just as well.

Curtis then said goodbye to Desmond, and Trina promised to bring her brother to visit often before Curtis gave each of his kids one final kiss. Later, while Trina sang a lullaby to her baby brother, Curtis arrived at Pentonville, where he was processed and locked up in a cell to begin his sentence.

Also at Pentonville, Sonny visited Sidwell. He revealed that he’d discovered a way to go legit thanks to Sidwell’s holdings, which were about to be auctioned off, but Sidwell doubted Sonny would actually be able to go straight.

Sonny taunted Sidwell about being locked up, and Sidwell volleyed back that their war was far from over. Glancing around the Pentonville visiting room, Sonny mocked that it looked over to him — then heckled his rival not to have such a bad attitude, “Because a bad attitude in here is no good.”

Open Heart, Open Mind

Laura hired Rocco to look after her condo while she was in Ireland visiting Kevin and Ace. Rocco was glad to get some extra cash, since he was worried Drew might have his pool hours cut if he found out Rocco and Scout were secretly hanging out. Laura cautioned that if Drew ever forbade Scout and Rocco from being together, Rocco should not defy him because Drew was very vindictive.

Later, Lulu stopped by to see her mom before Laura’s trip. When Lulu asked how her mom was handling her long-distance relationship, Laura revealed it was difficult to be apart, but she was grateful to have found love again with Kevin. Laura was sure Lulu would find someone again, too, but Lulu was hesitant to get involved with anyone after the disaster with “Nathan.”

Lulu said she wondered if Dante had been her one chance, and Laura questioned if there were still feelings there, but Lulu insisted that her romantic relationship with Dante was over. Laura encouraged her daughter not to give up on love.

In The Dark

Scout met up with Danny at the boathouse behind Drew’s back. Danny thought it was a bad idea, but Scout was confident that she could use her swim practices as an excuse for being at the Quartermaine estate. The siblings got into a spat when Danny insulted Drew, but Danny ultimately promised not to do anything that made Scout feel like she was stuck in the middle.

While Scout was swimming, Charlotte arrived, and she and Danny and tossed around ideas to frame Drew for a scandal. Rocco overheard and warned them that such a scheme could backfire. Rocco encouraged Danny to be patient, and Drew would probably ease up. Danny was stunned when Charlotte sided with Rocco, but told Rocco he’d drop the blackmail idea if Rocco didn’t say anything to Scout.

Once they were alone, though, Charlotte assured Danny that she was still on board with their plan — she’d lied to Rocco because it was better if Scout and Rocco were in the dark. Charlotte and Danny refocused on coming up with something to use as leverage against Drew.

You Can Count On Me

Drew ran into Ava at the Metro Court pool, and they reaffirmed their pact to take down Sonny. Ava urged him to move along before Portia arrived for breakfast, but Drew begged her to let him stick around so he could make amends with her. Once Portia arrived, he laid out his apology. Unsure whether Drew was sincere, Portia proposed they just stay out of each other’s way.

After Drew left, Ava told Portia that she’d made an alliance with him against Sonny. Portia warned her friend not to trust him. Portia then asked Ava to be there for Trina, because she’d need extra support while Curtis was gone. Ava replied that she’d be there for Portia, too.

Enemy Lines

At the Aurora office, Michael comforted Jordan, who was upset after saying farewell to Curtis. Michael assured her that he believed she was capable of running the company in Curtis’s absence and offered to listen if she ever needed to vent about her physical and emotional scars.

The pair was stunned when Drew dropped by to apologize to Michael and request a more active role in Aurora. Michael immediately shot Drew down, but Jordan thought they should give him a second chance.

Michael decided to defer to Jordan’s judgment as the new CEO and agreed to bring Drew back on board. Satisfied, Drew left, promising Michael and Jordan that they wouldn’t regret it. Once they were alone, Jordan assured Michael that she didn’t trust Drew one bit — she was just keeping their enemy close.

Who Are the New Thomas and Charlotte on DAYS?

DAYS will mark Cole Gersmeyer’s first major television role, though his IMDb bio says that he has also appeared in commercials and theater. His credits listed include roles in short films, including the upcoming Tweens, which he also co-wrote and co-stars his twin sister, actress Autumn Gersmeyer.

Pippa Blaylock is making her daytime debut with her DAYS role as Charlotte DiMera, Thomas’s younger sister, but her credits include appearances in television series like Pretty Freekin Scary and High Potential as well as the 2025 horror film The Strangers: Chapter 2. She has also appeared in some recent vertical micro-dramas.

Thomas and Charlotte are the offspring of Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd) and his late wife, Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller).

Both roles have been played by multiple actors already. Various sets of twins played Thomas as a baby upon the character’s birth in 2015, followed by Justin Allan in 2018, then Asher Morrissette from 2018-19. Cary Christopher has had the longest tenure in the role, portraying the young DiMera from 2020-26. The last actor to play Thomas before Gersmeyer was Alexander Elijah Bond, who appeared during the spring and summer of 2026.

Charlotte was born on-screen in 2018. She was played by several young actresses in her infancy before Autumn Gendron assumed the role in 2021 and played her until this recast.

Earlier this year, Thomas and Charlotte were at the center of a bitter custody battle between their father, Chad, and their maternal grandparents, Jack (Matthew Ashford) and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). Ultimately, Chad opted to leave Salem with his children to get away from all the drama, but the family returned to the canvas in April 2026.

Matthew Ashford is also set to reprise the role of Jack on the August 25th episode featuring Gersmeyer and Blaylock’s debuts as Thomas and Charlotte.

Meet B&B’s Darcy Dylan

The publicity shots B&B released are all from Sullivan’s debut episode and show Darcy folding laundry while chatting on the phone — presumably either with her daughter or a third party who has intel for her about Dylan. Darcy’s storyline will initially center on her arrival in Los Angeles as Dylan “finds herself caught in the increasingly tense conflict between the Forrester and Spencer families,” according to TV Insider, which announced Sullivan’s casting.

Sullivan’s arrival marks her return to daytime television after a decade away. The Daytime Emmy-nominated actress began her soap career on General Hospital, where she played polished fashion magazine editor Kate Howard and her brash alternate personality, Connie Falconeri, from 2011 to 2013. After Kate/Connie was killed off, Sullivan joined The Young and the Restless as Sage Warner, the mother of Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) son Christian, a role she played from 2014 to 2016.

After her B&B role was announced, Sullivan shared her excitement about the new gig on Instagram. “I’m very excited to join the @boldandbeautifulcbs family and bring this force of nature to life,” she wrote of Darcy. Sullivan also thanked the executive producer and head writer of the show, Brad Bell, “for giving this amazing character to me.”

“I can’t wait to step into Darcy’s boots. ” Sullivan added.

Her new TV daughter, Sydney Bullock, was among those who responded to Sullivan’s announcement in the comments. “YAYYYYY SO EXCITED MAMA,” Bullock wrote.

Now, viewers will get to meet Darcy when Sullivan makes her B&B debut on Thursday, August 27.

Sydney Malakeh Heads to Days of Our Lives

On its official Instagram account, DAYS shared the news of Malakeh’s hiring with a video of the actress in various locations of the studio, along with the caption, “Who is Sydney Malakeh? Find out September 9th.”

DAYS‘ newest hire is a native of Wilmington, Delaware and has been acting professionally since 2020. In her six-year career, she has racked up an impressive list of primetime appearances, with roles on acclaimed series like ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Apple TV’s Shrinking (where she worked with series lead Jason Segal in the role of sex worker Danica) and HBO Max’s The Sex Lives of College Girls.

Because Days of Our Lives tapes nearly a year in advance, Malakeh has already been working at the show for months — and she has clearly made a good impression on her new castmates. When DAYS posted the big news of her hiring, the post was quickly “liked” by a range of Salem stars, including Paul Telfer (Xander), Linsey Godfrey (Sarah), Sal Stowers (Lani), Conner Floyd (Chad), Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Christie Clark (Carrie).

When the news that she is joining DAYS broke, fans online speculated that she might be playing a character who is also named Sydney: specifically, Sydney DiMera, the daughter of Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), who has not been featured regularly on the show since 2021.

Whether that proves to be wishful thinking or not will be revealed when Malakeh debuts on Wednesday, September 9.

Chad Duell Thought He Would Come Back to GH

“Things changed,” Duell said in a video interview with Michael Fairman on August 19, where he opened up about his departure from GH. After stepping away, he noted, “They kind of changed up the character a little bit. I didn’t know — I was like, ‘I’m taking some time away, we’ll see what happens.’ But then, yeah, obviously they decided to go a different direction with him when I was gone.”

That different direction was an entirely new actor — and Duell admitted, “I didn’t think they were going to bring somebody back in my place. But you know, it’s the business. You never know what can happen.”

Duell described his choice to leave GH as “taking a step back and refueling the tank” after a tumultuous period of change in his personal life. At the time, he wanted to take a break from the entertainment industry to focus on grieving the death of his father, Richard, and to spend quality time with his infant son, Dawson, who was born in 2023.

The actor explained that he shared his plans with GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini before the news became public so that the soap could write a proper exit for his alter ego. “I wanted to give them notice,” Duell said. “I didn’t want to throw it on him last minute. I didn’t want to be like, ‘Hey, see ya!’ I wanted to let them have time, like three months or so [to] flesh out a storyline to get me to step away for a bit.”

The resulting storyline saw Michael badly burned in an explosion and shipped off to a special clinic overseas to recover from his injuries early in 2025. “They didn’t burn my face because I told [Valentini] I’m willing to come back,” Duell related. “It was just a little bit of a break. So I assumed that if they would have burned my face, they could have brought somebody back looking different than me… if that’s what their plan was.”

In November 2024, after Duell announced his imminent exit from the soap, Valentini posted on X (formerly Twitter): “There are no plans to recast his role at this time, but you never know in daytime.”

Duell’s final episode aired in January 2025, and in May, General Hospital confirmed that former The Young and the Restless star Rory Gibson had been hired to assume the role of Michael.

“I actually still do miss the people, miss the energy there,” Duell said of his old stomping grounds. But he also added that though his GH role had been recast, he would be open to joining the cast of another soap. “I’m ready to sink my teeth back into everything,” he declared. “I know people over at Bold and the Beautiful, Young and the Restless.”

Duell also shared that he’s made that interest known to the other daytime dramas. “I mean, I’ve talked to them,” he said. “They know that if they’re interested, I would love to come in for a screen test or something, and they can see what I’m doing.”

Future Cast

Lulu freaked out that Charlotte and Danny had taken Jason’s speedboat to Egret Island in the dark and barged into Carly’s kitchen to confront Valentin over his lack of supervision of their daughter. Carly told her cousin to get a life and stop trying to control Charlotte, and Valentin chimed in that Lulu should start dating again or find a hobby to occupy her time. But their advice fell on deaf ears, and Lulu stormed out.

Carly told Valentin that seeing Lulu all wound up made her realize that she had to give Josslyn space to make her own decisions, just as she had herself at that age. Valentin asked Carly to remind him of her wisdom in six years when Charlotte was the age Josslyn is now, and it was her turn to make life choices. Touched, Carly wondered if they’d still be in each other’s lives then, and Valentin replied that if he had his way, they’d still be together.

Three’s A Crowd

After misinterpreting what was going on between Elizabeth and a half-naked Dante in Liz’s living room, a disheartened Ric gave her the bouquet of roses he’d brought and left. Dante felt bad that Ric had gotten the wrong idea about the situation, which led to Liz opening up about Ric’s insecurities. She acknowledged that Ric had changed for the better but hoped his issues didn’t impact their future.

After Liz sighed that Dante didn’t need to listen to her complain, he joked that it was payment after she’d fielded his concerns about Rocco for months. Elizabeth hoped Ric would realize he had nothing to worry about, because she wanted to be with him. Dante advised her to give Ric a chance to come around, and they toasted to it all working out.

Meanwhile, Ric had Lulu meet him at the pool. He unloaded about what he saw between Elizabeth and Dante and proposed the two of them work together to stop whatever connection was growing between their exes before they lost the loves of their lives.

Lulu thought Ric was reading into something that wasn’t there and said that coming up with crazy theories would only push Elizabeth away. Lulu pointed out that Elizabeth wouldn’t be with him if she didn’t want to be, but Ric worried that his girlfriend hadn’t yet realized she’d rather be with someone else.

Exposure Therapy

Josslyn interrupted Britt and Jason’s date at the boathouse and railed at Britt for aiding Cassius in his impersonation of Nathan. Josslyn hissed that by telling him that she was a WSB agent, Britt had played a role in Cassius abducting her and had nearly gotten her killed. Britt defended herself by saying she had no idea what her brother would do. After exposing Britt, Josslyn figured Jason would see her side of things and huffed that it was only a matter of time before Britt sold him out, too.

Once they were alone, Jason asked for Britt’s side of the story. She insisted she’d only told Cassius the truth about Josslyn to protect her brother. Jason questioned why Britt never told him who Cassius truly was. She confided that she thought her brother’s secret would die with her, plus she knew Jason would attempt to stop him. She never thought Cassius would kidnap Josslyn, but she understood if that was an unforgivable mistake in Jason’s eyes.

Believing Britt’s account, Jason wanted to know if there were any other secrets she was holding from him. Britt professed that was it, and they both pledged that they wanted their relationship to work out.

Spies Everywhere

Wanting to get to know WSB legend Anna Devane, Tristan introduced himself to her at the Metro Court pool and explained how he’d been a field operative before becoming a WSB physician. Anna praised Tristan for getting out of the bureau to lead an honest life. When Tristan asked if she was proud of or regretted her time in the WSB, Anna replied that at this point in her life, she no longer prioritized the bureau’s objectives over her family’s, noting that would do anything in her power to make sure they were safe.

Josslyn arrived to meet Anna, who introduced her to Tristan. The doctor recognized Josslyn’s name as one of the bureau’s rising stars, and Joss told him that the official story about the Spoon Island operation was not the full truth. Tristan advised Josslyn to focus on what good she did, while Anna cautioned Josslyn never to lose herself on a mission where she’d be unable to find her way back.

Civil Rites

Before turning himself in, Curtis joined Alexis at an AA meeting at the hospital. Having been in prison herself, Alexis offered guidance on how to navigate his sobriety while serving his sentence. Curtis vowed to be a model prisoner so he could return to his family once he was up for parole. Meanwhile, Portia and Isaiah reunited at his cabin and discussed the impact Curtis’s prison sentence would have on Trina and Des. Since the prognosis on his hand was promising, Isaiah decided to drop the civil lawsuit against Curtis, hoping that would be the first step to them all finding peace.

Brooke and Ridge

Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) may have been married to Eric (John McCook), but still harbored feeling for her ex — and Eric’s son — Ridge (then-Ronn Moss). And when Brooke created the BeLieF formula for Forrester Creations, instead of celebrating the achievement with her hubby, she had sex with Ridge right there in the lab. Brooke had also been intimate with Eric in that time frame, leading to a classic “Who’s the Daddy?” conundrum — and a paternity test left everyone believing that Ridge was baby Bridget’s father. It took a full four years for all parties to find out that Eric was actually the bio dad.

Eric and Lauren

Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) regretted calling off her budding romance with Eric so that he could remarry Stephanie, so she seduced the groom-to-be. An oblivious Steph invited Lauren to the wedding, but she was in for an unpleasant surprise during the ceremony when a still from a Lauren/Eric sex tape made its way into the officiant’s bible (thanks to Sally Spectra). Humiliated, Stephanie called off the wedding — and called Lauren a lying whore!

Deacon and Brooke

Deacon (Sean Kanan) was married to Bridget (then-Jennifer Finnigan) but started carrying on an illicit affair with her mother, Brooke, resulting in her pregnancy. Brooke married Whip (Rick Hearst) and tried to pass him off as her baby’s father, but Bridget learned the truth anyway — and in a particularly gutting way: through a baby monitor that was transmitting Brooke and Deacon’s discussion about their tawdry circumstances! Betrayed by the two people she trusted the most, Bridget disowned her mom and served Deacon with divorce papers.

Nick and Katie

After receiving a heart transplant, Katie’s body began rejecting the new organ, and her family worked to make her last days special and check items off her bucket list. Katie’s niece, Bridget, offered up her husband, Nick (Jack Wagner), as Katie’s date for a recreation of the high school prom the dying woman had missed, and even sent them on a cruise to Catalina. Bridget thought this would be an innocent excursion — but Nick and Katie wounded up making love! Katie didn’t die (Bridget found a miracle cure) and Nick and Katie were forced to reveal their infidelity when Katie found out she was pregnant.

Bill and Brooke

Katie’s postpartum depression after nearly dying while giving birth to Will led her to push Bill toward her sister, Brooke, believing her son needed a mother if something happened to her. But what began as Katie’s misguided attempt to protect Will turned into a full-blown betrayal when Bill and Brooke fell in love and slept together. Their affair remained secret until Taylor exposed Brooke’s pregnancy by Bill — and subsequent miscarriage — at Brooke’s birthday party, blowing the scandal wide open in front of their family and friends. Bill eventually won Katie back, but his connection to Brooke remained a constant threat to their marriage, and years later, Bill and Brooke crossed the line again, prompting Katie to walk away from her husband once more.

Steffy and Bill

Steffy fell into bed with her father-in-law, Bill (Don Diamont), after finding out that her husband, Liam (Scott Clifton), had kissed Sally (Courtney Hope). After discovering she was pregnant, she got a secret paternity test and was relieved that the baby was Liam’s — but he found the test in her purse, forcing her to ‘fess up to sleeping with his dad. An enraged Liam spat that their life together was a lie and walked out on his sobbing wife.

Liam and Steffy

When Liam spied Thomas kissing Hope, he went to Steffy’s for a shoulder to cry on. Though she was in a relationship with Finn, comforting an increasingly drunk Liam led to the exes hitting the sheets. They both felt guilty the next morning, and Liam felt even worse when he found out Thomas had actually been kissing a mannequin that looked like Hope, and not Hope in the flesh! They tried to keep their infidelity quiet, but when Steffy became pregnant, they were forced to come clean to find out whether Liam or Finn was the baby daddy. (It was Finn.)

Quinn and Carter

Quinn (Rena Sofer) was feeling lonely and rejected when her hubby, Eric, began withholding sex from her. She found a sympathetic ear — and body — in Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), and they began carrying on an affair. Brooke found out what was happening and exposed Quinn’s infidelity — just as she and Eric were renewing their vows in a Carter-officiated ceremony! A disgusted Eric threw Quinn out of the house, fired her from Forrester and pursued a divorce. Then, in a particularly unusual twist, Eric forgave Quinn and, suffering from erectile dysfunction, invited Carter to continue fulfilling his wife’s carnal desires!

Hope and Thomas

Liam was wary over how closely his wife, Hope, was working with her ex, Thomas (Matthew Atkinson), on Hope for the Future — and with good reason, as Hope found herself growing very attracted to her former hubby despite his past manipulations of her. While in Rome, she gave in to her feelings and passionately kissed Thomas — and Liam, who had flown there to surprise Hope, saw the smooch! This set off quite the chain reaction: Liam kissed Steffy and demanded a divorce from Hope, she removed her wedding ring and hit the sheets with Thomas — and Brooke caught them in bed.

The Future Is Uncertain

Ric (Rick Hearst) was shocked to find Liz (Rebecca Herbst) on the couch with a pantsless Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), especially because he was planning on popping the question to the woman he loves. However, the nurse was just examining Dante’s injured knee, so she stands up to Ric. “Dante’s my guest,” she declares. “He’s not going anywhere.” Will Ric back down or push his luck?

Portia (Brook Kerr) is at Isaiah’s (Sawandi Wilson) cabin when she expresses a concern, and he quickly offers to be her knight in shining armor. “Maybe there’s something I can do to help make that happen,” he suggests. But what is Portia after, and does it have anything to do with Curtis (Donnell Turner) starting his prison sentence for assaulting Isaiah?

Curtis has been tying up loose ends and saying good-bye to his newborn son, Des, before heading to Pentonville. And at the hospital, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) urges her friend to change his attitude before it’s too late. “If you let yourself lean into that, you may never come home to Des,” the attorney cautions. Will Curtis heed her words of wisdom?

Lulu (Alexa Havins) is still not sure she did the right thing, agreeing to let Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) live with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Knowing a little something about dealing with a rebellious daughter herself, Carly (Laura Wright) has some advice for Lulu. “I’m telling you,” she urges, “it’s the best thing you can do for yourself.” What might Carly be suggesting?
