The cast of The Young and the Restless changes frequently as characters arrive, depart and return. Here’s a look at the actors currently appearing on the CBS soap and the Genoa City characters they play.

Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair Romalotti)

Lauralee Bell began playing Christine Blair, then known as Cricket, in 1983. The daughter of Y&R creators William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell, she is also a Daytime Emmy-winning producer.

Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott)

Peter Bergman assumed the role of Jack Abbott in 1989 following a 10-year run as Cliff Warner on All My Children. He has won three Daytime Emmys as Outstanding Lead Actor for his performance on Y&R.

Eric Braeden (Victor Newman)

Eric Braeden has played Victor Newman since 1980, becoming one of daytime’s most recognizable stars and winning a Daytime Emmy as Outstanding Lead Actor.

Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore Baldwin)

Tracey E. Bregman debuted as Lauren Fenmore in 1983 after playing Donna Craig on Days of our Lives. The Daytime Emmy winner crossed over to The Bold and the Beautiful as Lauren between 1992 and 1999.

Sharon Case (Sharon Newman)

Sharon Case assumed the role of Sharon Newman (formerly Collins) in 1994 after short runs on General Hospital and As the World Turns. She won a Daytime Emmy for her work in 1999.

Matt Cohen (Det. Burrow)

Matt Cohen began playing Det. Burrow in 2025. He previously played Griffin Munro on General Hospital and is also known for his appearances on Supernatural.

Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti)

Michael Damian is a recording artist, actor, producer and director who began playing Danny Romalotti in 1981.

Eileen Davidson (Ashley Abbott)

Eileen Davidson made her Y&R debut in 1982 as Ashley Abbott. The Daytime Emmy-winning actress also starred as Kelly Capwell on Santa Barbara, as Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks on Days of Our Lives, crossed over to B&B as Ashley (2007-08) and spent three seasons as a cast member of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Sean Dominic (Nate Hastings)

Sean Dominic has played Nate Hastings since 2019 and is currently nominated for his first Daytime Emmy for the role.

Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson)

Melissa Claire Egan began playing Chelsea Lawson in 2011 after starring on All My Children as Annie Novak.

Hayley Erin (Claire Newman)

Hayley Erin has played Claire Newman since 2023, but made her Y&R debut as Abby Newman (2008-10). She earned a Daytime Emmy for her work as Kiki Jerome on General Hospital.

Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter)

Cait Fairbanks made her Genoa City debut as Tessa Porter in 2017.

Billy Flynn (Cane Ashby)

Billy Flynn took over the role of Cane Ashby in 2025 after a 10-year run on Days of Our Lives as Chad DiMera.

Vivica A. Fox (Stephanie Simmons)

Vivica A. Fox returned to Y&R as Stephanie Simmons in 2026; she originally played the role from 1994-95. In addition to playing Maya Reubens on Generations, Fox is best known for movies like Independence Day, Set it Off and Kill Bill: Volume I.

Michael Graziadei (Daniel Romalotti)

Michael Graziadei began his Daytime Emmy-nominated run as Daniel Romalotti in 2004. He exited the show in 2013 and returned in 2022.

Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland)

Camryn Grimes began playing Mariah Copeland in 2014, but her Y&R career actually began in 1997, when she was cast as Cassie Newman, Mariah’s twin. Grimes has won Daytime Emmys for both roles.

Mark Grossman (Adam Newman)

Mark Grossman joined the cast as Adam Newman in 2019, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2020.

Stacy Haiduk (Patty Williams)

Stacy Haiduk returned to Y&R in 2026 as Patty Williams, a role she first played in 2009. She also appears on Days of Our Lives as Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks.

Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman)

Amelia Heinle took over as Victoria Newman in 2005, and has earned two Daytime Emmys for her work. She joined the show after roles on All My Children and Loving.

Jade Harlow (Marie Kirkland)

Jade Harlow has played recovering addict Marie Kirkland since August 2026. She previously played Jessica Bennett on Passions and Sheryl Connors on Days of Our Lives.

Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra)

Courtney Hope started her Y&R run as Sally Spectra in 2020 after previously playing the character on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2017 until 2020. She is a Daytime Emmy winner for her work on the show.

Roger Howarth (Matt Clark)

Roger Howarth debuted as a recast Matt Clark in 2025. He previously starred on General Hospital as Todd Manning, Franco Baldwin and Austin Gatlin-Holt; on One Life to Live as Todd Manning; and on As the World Turns as Paul Ryan.

Bryton James (Devon Winters)

Bryton James has played Devon Winters since 2004. He began his acting career as a child, starring on Family Matters, and won a Daytime Emmy for his work on Y&R.

Christel Khalil (Lily Winters)

Christel Khalil debuted as Lily Winters in 2002. The Daytime Emmy winner has been on Y&R ever since, minus a break from 2005 to 2006.

Christian J. LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin)

Christian J. LeBlanc made his Y&R debut in 1991 and has won three Daytime Emmys for his portrayal of Michael Baldwin. He previously played Kirk McColl on As the World Turns.

Kate Linder (Esther Valentine)

Kate Linder began playing Esther Valentine, Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) loyal housekeeper, in 1982.

Judah Mackey (Connor Newman)

Judah Mackey has recurred in the role of Connor Newman since 2019.

Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott)

Beth Maitland joined the Y&R cast in 1982 as Traci Abbott. A Daytime Emmy winner, she has played Traci off and on for nearly 45 years.

Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott)

Michael Mealor has held the role of Kyle Abbott since 2018.

Sienna Mercuri (Katie Abbott)

Sienna Mercuri has played Katie Abbott since 2016.

Paxton Mishkind (Johnny Abbott)

Paxton Mishkind has been playing Billy and Victoria’s son since 2022.

Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman)

Joshua Morrow began playing Nicholas Newman in 1994 and is a five-time Daytime Emmy nominee.

Redding Munsell (Harrison Abbott)

Redding Munsell has played Kyle’s son by Tara Locke, who was adopted by Summer Newman, since 2024.

Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman Winters)

Melissa Ordway debuted as Abby Newman in 2013 following a run on the cable soap Hollywood Heights.

Nathan Owens (Holden Novak)

Nathan Owens joined the cast as Holden Novak in 2025. He previously played Cameron Davis on Days of Our Lives.

Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman)

Melody Thomas Scott has starred as Nikki Newman on Y&R since 1978 and was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Daytime Emmys in 2024.

Zuleyka Silver (Audra Charles)

Zuleyka Silver was cast as Audra Charles in 2022.

Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers)

Michelle Stafford created the role of Phyllis Summers in 1994. She has won three Daytime Emmys for her performance. During a hiatus from Y&R, she starred on General Hospital as Nina Reeves.

Jason Thompson (Billy Abbott)

Jason Thompson joined the Y&R cast in 2016 as Billy Abbott. The Daytime Emmy-winning actor previously starred as Patrick Drake on General Hospital.

Susan Walters (Diane Jenkins Abbott)

Susan Walters rejoined Y&R as Diane Jenkins in 2022, having previously played the role from 2001 until 2004. She won a Daytime Emmy in 2025 for her portrayal.
