Melissa Claire Egan

Melissa Claire Egan began acting as a child, making her first television appearance as an extra on All My Children. After graduating college, she furthered her career with roles on shows like Dawson’s Creek and One Tree Hill. In 2006, she was cast as Annie Novak on AMC and earned three Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her work before her exit in 2011. Later that year, she moved over to CBS to originate the character of Chelsea Lawson on Young and Restless. During her time on Y&R, the actress has earned another four Daytime Emmy nods.

In addition to her work on Y&R, Egan has made prime-time appearances on series like Men at Work and Bones, as well as in television movies like Holiday for Heroes. She is the mother to two sons with husband Matt Katrosar: Caden (b. August 2021) and Jake (b. July 2023).
