Lane Davies (ex-Mason, Santa Barbara; ex-Cameron, GH) is starring in the world premiere production of a new play, Plot Twist, which was written by SB’s co-creator, Jerome Dobson. According to a press release, “Set in the seductive, high-pressure world of 1980s daytime television, Plot Twist follows Henry, a brilliant soap opera writer whose personal life begins to unravel as it collides dangerously with the stories he creates. As ambition, desire, and betrayal intensify, the line between fiction and reality blurs, with explosive consequences. When a hidden gun enters the picture, nothing remains predictable.” Davies not only stars, but also directs, and said, “This is soap opera storytelling the way you’ve never experienced it before. On stage, the stakes are higher because anything can happen, and it is happening right in front of you.” The production from The Conasauga Shakespeare Company runs at the Synchronicity Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 24 through May 2. Tickets are on sale now…. Jaime Ray Newman, who played Alexis’s sister, Kristina, on GH, is joining the cast of Netflix’s Poser in a recurring capacity…. Vincent Irizarry (ex-David, All My Children et al) revealed that he has a cameo role in David Duchovny‘s upcoming satire Soapbox, which is about a past-his-prime soap star.
