The Bold & the Beautiful Exclusive: Remy Returns With a Secret Connection, Says Christian Weissmann
Remy Pryce, the mischief-making character Christian Weissmann played on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2024-25, makes his dramatic return to the canvas on Tuesday, April 14. The actor earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for his first stint in the Emerging Talent category and is now on contract with the show. He spoke exclusively with Soap Opera Digest about Remy’s comeback and the big story twist ahead.
You Can Go Home Again
“I am so over the moon,” smiles Weissmann about reprising the role of Remy, who has been MIA since last December, when he was spotted at Il Giardino, claiming to be a changed man after lying to his lover, Deke (Harrison Cone), and stalking Electra (Laneya Grace). “I always felt like there was more to explore with Remy, and I was so happy to hear that the [B&B] team did, as well.”
The actor says that his return “came together pretty organically” and that he had never closed the door to more appearances, or felt that the show had, either. “I think because I came on to Bold as a recurring character, not on contract initially, I was always kind of flying by the edge of my seat, wondering, ‘What’s going to happen next?'” he muses. “I think it was unspoken that there was more at hand with Remy; it just depended on when the timing was right. I didn’t know if it was going to be in a couple of months, in six months, in a year, but I was pretty certain that he was going to make a return. I was just happy it was as soon as it was, because I was eager! I missed Remy and I was just so happy to come back on set and be with everybody.”
Weissmann has forged fast friendships with the other younger actors in the B&B cast, including Harrison Cone, Laneya Grace and Crew Morrow (Will), and they had kept in touch during his months off the show — in fact, he’s in a group chat with them, along with Brayan Nicoletti (R.J.) and Sydney Bullock (Dylan) that they’ve dubbed The Brat Pack. “Lisa [Yamada, ex-Luna] still pops in from time to time,” he says of his longtime pal, who he knew before they wound up on the soap together. “We’ve all become such close friends, so it’s not like I hadn’t them in a while,” he notes. “My first day back, it just felt like I was getting to go play with my friends. Getting to do that and to be with the rest of the cast and crew has been like a homecoming. I wasn’t even gone that long, so it just felt like I went on a little summer trip and now Remy is back to mix some stuff up!”
Home Is Where the Heart Is
Unsurprisingly, when Remy resurfaces, he makes a beeline for Deke. Though their relationship tanked when Remy’s unsavory behavior — including creating deepfake nude photos of Electra — was exposed, Remy is hoping that time can heal all wounds. “The love between the two of them is definitely still there,” Weissmann professes. “That connection doesn’t just disappear over a few months, but now it’s become complicated by everything that’s happened — and Remy really has to face that.”
According to Weissmann, Remy “wants a second chance with Deke, but I don’t think he’s necessarily earned it yet and a lot of the dynamic that we see when Remy comes back is about whether or not that trust can actually be rebuilt.” But, hints the actor, “He’s not the most graceful when it comes to making amends, which I think makes it more interesting, you know? He’s trying, but it doesn’t always land the way he hopes that it would.”

As for whether Remy has truly changed, Weissmann offers, “I think he believes in his heart of hearts that he has turned over a new leaf, but there’s always a question of whether or not he could slip back into old patterns. I mean, he feels things really intensely and he hasn’t unlearned the impulses of acting heart-first. Deep down, he’s messy and unpredictable, and even when he’s trying to do the right thing, there’s always something deeper going on underneath. There’s always a fuse that could be lit. I think the viewers can expect Remy to try and move forward, but he’s walking a tightrope right now. He wants to be better, but he’s still capable of making the same mistakes, which makes things very unpredictable.”
Weissmann says that Executive Producer/Head Writer Brad Bell and he have discussed the direction his storyline is taking and teases, “There’s definitely a deliberateness to how Remy makes his return. There’s a lot more history behind him now, and there’s new adventures ahead.” This time around, “He’s much more woven into the canvas, so the choices he makes — with his ex-boyfriend, with his peers, with his enemies — have a bigger ripple effect now, which is really exciting to watch.”
Indeed, the show is poised to make a big reveal about a secret connection that Remy has to another character on the canvas. “I think the connection is very unexpected,” Weissmann offers. “But also, I would say that the history that becomes unveiled with Remy makes sense because this person is cut from the same cloth as him, and it just makes their relationship and everything to do with Remy so much more complicated.
“Like I said, he makes a deliberate return,” the actor sums up. “He makes that return other people’s problems, and Remy doesn’t wait for an invitation. He never has — and he hasn’t learned to wait for one! If he wants to show up and share some stuff and mix things up and get in there and get messy, he has no problem just walking right in and calling it what it is. I think it’s going to be really fun for the viewers to see.”
For Weissmann, Remy’s expanded universe has made for yet more fun digging into the character. “It’s been a blast,” he enthuses. “I’ve always loved playing Remy, and getting to expand on who I get to play with on the show and getting to work with new people and bouncing off of each other, it’s so invigorating as an actor.”
