Days of Our Lives star AnnaLynne McCord (Cat) is engaged! The actress confirmed to People that her longtime love, former rugby player Danny Cipriani, popped the question in her home last Christmas and slipped a 15-carat diamong ring on her finger.
Goin’ To The Chapel
The duo first met a decade ago on the celebrity-favored dating app Raya and had an open relationship for four years, the DAYS actress told People. In 2020, they called it quits, but quickly became inseparable after reconnecting early in 2024. “My Miracle… Loving you is the easiest thing in the world ❤️🥰🌟✨😍,” Cipriani posted on Instagram in April of that year.
McCord paid tribute to her beau in a birthday Instagram post in November 2025, the month before they got engaged. “Our journey and its twists and turns have taught me many things —the most prominent in this moment is that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE,” the actress mused. “I really thought we had tried and failed all those years ago… You got married, and I wished you the best as my heart was cracking wide open. That’s what you do, Mister Cipriani… you ‘crack my heart so wide open that the whole world falls inside’ ( 🎶 Danya River). Thank you for being my ‘what’s possible’. Thank you for bringing me to the House of Light, sharing your family with me. Thank you for letting me share mine with you. There’s no manual for this wild and crazy path of love. But you’ve shown me that following your heart is all I need to know. Apparently, my eternal compass is set on YOU, my True North. It’s such a gift to know you, what a Unique Soul Light you are. Cipriani replied in equally romantic fashion, writing, “My love. My love. My heart. Wow. To be loved by you is to know divinity. What a magical journey, blessing every step of the path. Loving you is to love myself. Loving you was the pathway to my own heart. I love my dancing partner in the darkness reminding the darkness it was always light. Love you ❤️❤️”
McCord bubbled to People that she felt from the start that Cipriani was her destiny. “I called this 10 years ago,” she said. “I knew we were soulmates, I knew we were meant to be together. I was so sure, and I was not wrong.”
