Here’s the very latest casting information about who’s coming and who’s going on Beyond The Gates, Bold and Beautiful, Days of Our Lives, General Hospital and Young and Restless.
Who’s Coming
Beyond The Gates
Because the show is rebroadcasting its first five episodes this week, there is no new casting information to report.

Murielle Hilaire (Daphne Rose): The character was shown in France last week when Steffy called her and asked her to return to Los Angeles. While she offered her apologies to the Forrester co-CEO, Daphne couldn’t stop thinking about Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor). Will she be back?

Michael Roark (TBA): The actor, who is known to soap fans for playing the role of Travis Crawford on Y&R in 2016, is coming to the Peacock soap. A spokesperson for the show confirmed the casting to Digest, saying, “Yes, Michael Roark has been taping but won’t be seen on-air until the first week of October. No comment about the role he is playing nor the storyline in which he is involved. Stay tuned!” Most recently, the actor is featured in Passionflix’s streaming series The Black Dagger Brotherhood, which is about vampire warriors who are protecting their race from lesser demons.
General Hospital

Who’s Going
Days of Our Lives

General Hospital
Eva LaRue (Natalia Ramirez): LaRue has exited the show, and her last air date is this week. She made her debut in the role on February 26, 2024. The actress got her start in daytime on Santa Barbara as Margo in 1988. She was then cast on All My Children as Dr. Maria Santos (1993-98; 2002-05; 2010; 2011) and later went on to win a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Guest Performer in a Drama Series for her role as Celeste Ramirez on Y&R from 2019-20. In her exclusive exit interview with Digest, LaRue said she sensed that Natalia’s storyline life would be coming to an end when the show pulled the plug on the Sonny/Natalia romance it seemed to be flirting with. “People just weren’t buying it, because they just hated my character so much,” she observed. “I was so vilified that no matter what [the writers] did, it just wasn’t a solid enough rehabilitation that they were gonna buy me with Sonny. And so when they finally let that idea go, I realized, ‘Okay, I’m probably not much longer for this world.’ ”

In Memoriam
Jack Betts, who was most known to soap fans for his role as the evil Ivan Kipling on One Life to Live from 1979-85, passed away in his sleep on June 19 at the age of 96. Born on April 11, 1929, in Jersey City, NJ, Betts spent his formative years growing up in Miami and attended University of Miami where he studied theater. He moved to New York where he studied at The Actor’s Studio and appeared in several shows on Broadway. In addition to OLTL, the actor played Ken Martin on GH in 1963 and in 1965, its spin-off, The Young Marrieds, Dr. Stein on The Edge of Night and Hugh McCluskey on The Doctors in 1978, Mr. Kane on Texas in 1981, Louis St. George on Another World from 1982-83, Lars Bogard on All My Children in 1983, Dr. David Glenn on Search for Tomorrow in 1986, John Cutler on Guiding Light in 1987, Hugh Gardner on Loving in 1989, Charlie Rescott on Loving in 1990 and Roberto on Y&R in 2002.

Joe Marinelli, who played Bunny Tagliatti on Santa Barbara from 1988-90 and Pauly on GL in 1993, passed away at the age of 68. Julie Smith, Marinelli’s agent, told CNN that the actor had been living with throat and stomach cancer for the past few years. Mark Duplass, who co-starred with Marinelli on Apple TV+’s The Morning Show (Duplass plays Chip, and Marinelli played Donny), wrote a tribute to the actor on Instagram, which was liked by their fellow co-star Jennifer Aniston (Alex). In it, Duplass wrote, “We lost the great Joe Marinelli. I got to know him shooting The Morning Show and we became fast friends. He was that rare combination of dedicated artist, old beautiful soul, and wide-eyed humanist. And he was funny. And so deeply, deeply kind. He invited me to teach some of his students. They all loved him. The thing I’ll remember most is shooting an intense scene at the end of Season 1 of The Morning Show. I was at the center of it, struggling with a monologue, and they ran at least a dozen takes of my coverage. Joe (playing Donny) was there for off-camera and he cried in every single take. He gave me everything he had to make me better, and he wasn’t even on camera. That was the essence of the man. I hope to be more like him. We all should. Rest in peace, brother.”
Charles Bateman, who was the third actor to play patriarch C.C. Capwell on Santa Barbara from 1984-85 and also portrayed Maxwell Jarvis on DAYS from 1980-81, passed away in April 2024, at the age of 93. Born November 19, 1930 in San Diego, Calif., to Thomas O. Bateman and Ivarene Cornelius Bateman, he took an interest in theater when he attended San Diego Junior College. Bateman later joined a stock company and eventually went to work at the La Jolla Playhouse. In 1958, his television career began, landing roles on shows like Maverick, The Silent Service, M Squad and Lawman. The following year, shows like Lassie and Rawhide followed as did many more. In 1960, a starring role (well, two, actually) in Two Faces West was a big break for the actor, who would go on to be known mostly for westerns. His last acting role was guesting on an episode of The Trials of Rosie O’Neill in 1991.
