Katherine Kelly Lang

A horse enthusiast since childhood, California native Katherine Kelly Lang was born into a showbiz family (grandfather Charles was a cinematographer, mother Judith an actress and father Keith portrayed the Jolly Green Giant). Her own acting career began when she was hired as an extra on the 1979 movie Skatetown, U.S.A. and was soon recast as the girlfriend of one of the leads. After roles in television series like Happy Days and The Fall Guy, as well as movies like Evilspeak and The Night Stalker and a brief stint as Gretchen on Young and Restless, Lang was cast as Brooke Logan on Bold and Beautiful in 1987. One of only two remaining original cast members, she has portrayed the beleaguered heroine from the CBS soap’s very first episode and has earned four Daytime Emmy nominations for her work on the show.

Lang has appeared as herself on the Australian soap Neighbours and competed on reality shows like the Aussie series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! In 2014, she won a Daytime Emmy as a producer of the digital drama Venice The Series. In 2020, she opened a retail store, Benheart USA, in Beverly Hills, and she also owns an eponymous kaftans and accessories line. The actress has three children, Jeremy (b. Sept. 5, 1990), Julian (b. Oct. 11, 1992), and Zoe (b. May 11, 1997).
