In 2003, Jack (Michael Park) and Carly (Maura West) remarried in Montana on As The World Turns shortly after they divorced within a year of getting married. This union lasted until 2006, but the popular duo, known as "CarJack" to their fans, tied the knot again in 2010.

In 2008, Cyndi Lauper guest-starred on As The World Turns. In the storyline, Luke (Van Hansis, l.) interviewed Lauper, who was promoting her new album, Bring Ya To The Brink, and traveling on her True Colors 2008 Tour, for Oakdale University's student paper. Lauper offered to dedicate her performance to Luke and Noah (Jake Silbermann) and entertained the crowd with her songs "Into the Night Life" and "True Colors." Noah then told Luke that they belonged together and they kissed.

In 2009, General Hospital's Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) met for the first time at Jake's. At the time, Dante was undercover and using the name Dominic Pirelli. The duo went on to marry twice, once in 2011 and once in 2016; they finalized their second divorce in 2019.

In 2013, Jen Lilley debuted on Days of Our Lives as Theresa Donovan, daughter of supercouple Kimberly Brady Donovan and Shane Donovan. Prior to joining the Salem ranks, the actress had temporarily assumed the role of Maxie Jones on General Hospital from Kirsten Storms from September 2011 to August 2012. Lilley played Theresa until 2016, then reprised the role for three months in 2018. She last appeared on DAYS in September 2023 before Emily O'Brien took over as Theresa.
