Alexandra Danielle Ainsworth began performing at the tender age of 6 when she danced with a local ballet company. She portrayed a Lullaby League Munchkin in her first professional production, The Wizard of Oz. Lexi later landed the lead role of Scout in the Actors Equity production of To Kill A Mockingbird. Attending a film camp in New York motivated her to go on to an acting boot camp in Los Angeles, where she impressed an agency and subsequently landed her first national commercial, for Barbie. Ainsworth joined the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL in 2009 when the show decided to age the character of Kristina Corinthos-Davis.
