Help Pick Christine’s Wedding Dress for Her Upcoming Y&R Nuptials!
Ever since Danny and Christine got engaged back in July on Young and Restless, the couple’s loyal fans have been eagerly awaiting their wedding. The Y&R Fall Preview teased that the nuptials will be taking place over the course of two episodes in November, and now it turns out that fans can get involved with one particular aspect of planning the ceremony — choosing Christine’s wedding gown!
Say Yes to the Dress
Lauralee Bell (Christine) was eager to include Danny and Christine’s fans in the wedding somehow. “Whenever there’s a way where we can incorporate them or make them understand how much they mean to us,” she told Us Weekly, noting, “We can’t do this without them.”
Starting on Friday, September 19, at 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET, fans can choose between three different options on Y&R’s official Instagram page by casting their vote in their Instagram Stories. The online poll will be active for just 24 hours, after which, the dress with the most votes will be the one that Christine wears on the soap to walk down the aisle and become Mrs. Danny Romalotti once more.
While fans are being asked to pick a favorite, Bell herself admitted that she won’t be weighing in. “If someone were to say, ‘Do I have a favorite?’ I don’t know that I do,” she said. “I want this to be completely what [the fans pick].”
Danny and Christine have had quite the dramatic romantic history, and the pair previously became man and wife back on November 16, 1990, in a beautiful destination wedding in Hawaii. Despite their roller coaster romance, the couple has found their way back to each other and are now planning to live happily ever after.
Bell is very excited to have the fans participating in the wedding in this way. “Now [we get] to really incorporate the fan love for the show and for them to feel like, if their dress won, that giddy thing of like, ‘I was a part of that. I picked that one.’”
