Eight Bold and Beautiful Stars Whose Real-Life Children Appeared On The Show

Back in 1990, when Lang was expecting her first child, Jeremy, her pregnancy was written into the storyline, and when Brooke gave birth to her first child — son Rick, whose father is Eric Forrester — the tot was played by her actual baby. He appeared on the show from 1990-95, at which point Rick was aged up and the role was recast with adolescent Stephen Hartman. In 2016, Lang recalled to Soap Opera Digest, “I remember when Jeremy was old enough to walk, he would always just walk off the stage. That was an issue [laughs]. When they have a little mind of their own, you just can’t control them. Then, of course, being the mom, it was a little embarrassing because you don’t want everyone watching you trying to deal with a child when you’re also trying to do your work. It’s hard and it can be very stressful because you can’t concentrate on the scene as much because you’re concentrating more on your child. There was one scene I had to do that I was supposed to get very angry and I just couldn’t do it in front of him because I didn’t want to upset him. I didn’t want to make him cry. I didn’t want him to think, ‘My mom is a psycho!’ So, I couldn’t do the scene the way it should have been done because he was there.”

In 1999, Schae Harrison and Mick Cain, who played the role of C.J. Garrison, went public with their romance, and in 2003, the lovebirds welcomed their only child, son Haven. The following year, baby Haven got into the family business when he briefly played Darla's daughter, Alexandria "Aly" Forrester, whose dad was Thorne Forrester (Winsor Harmon). When Harrison's longtime co-star Darlene Conley (ex-Sally Spectra) passed away in 2014, the actress recalled the special shine Conley had taken to little Haven, telling Digest, "She loved him — thought he was a performer at age 2!"

When Lesli Kay (pictured, from l,. with Winsor Harmon, ex-Thorne; Bradley Bell; and Ronn Moss, ex-Ridge) assumed the role of Felicia Forrester in 2005, the same year she welcomed her second son by then-husband Keith Coulouris, who had played David to her Molly when they co-starred on As the World Turns. Felicia was also a new mom, to son Dominick "Dino" Damiano, and from time to time, Kay's little boy, Alec, would step in front of the cameras as Dino. The actress explained to Digest, "When I came on, Alec was just a few months old and Felicia also had a baby, which was played by twins. Whenever the babies were crying or acting up, Alec would sub for them." She fondly recalled how kind the late Joseph Mascolo (ex-Massimo) was both to her and young Alec, even giving up his dressing room, which was close to the stage. "Joe insisted that I take his dressing room, and he moved into a smaller spot and let me enjoy his room with all of his belongings still in it. That was so incredibly selfless for such an accomplished man like him."

Original cast member McCook's daughter Molly is a professional actress, and one of her first gigs was playing a friend of Hope's named Margot in 2010. In 2019, Ms. McCook shared with Digest that her original B&B turn "was beyond comfortable. I literally grew up on that stage and in my dad’s dressing room. It was with a bunch of people who are like family to me. It was exciting. I didn’t have any scenes with him, though. That’s something that I wish we had." "Yeah, that would’ve been good," her dad agreed. "It was fun to see her with Hope and her friends. It was so easy for Molly, and a very natural thing for me to see her on the set. Molly used to sit in the laps of the staffers upstairs in the office, too."

In 2018, Clifton's best boy was ready for his close-up at the ripe old age of 1 when he played Liam and Steffy's son in a fantasy sequence. Clifton explained to Digest, "It’s a lovely, rosy fantasy with Liam and Steffy playing with their future child, who happens to look just like Liam. So, Casey Kasprzyk [supervising producer] came to me and asked if I’d be interested in having Ford do it and I said, ‘Heck, yeah!’ You’re never too young to start developing a work ethic [laughs].” On the big day, Clifton reported that timing was a challenge. "When he was in a good mood and playing in the sand box, all the camera guys were preoccupied with other things, and then when they called action, Ford was over it already and onto the next thing. A couple of times, they said to Jacqui MacInnes Wood [Steffy], ‘We need you to grab him from Scott and spin him in the air,’ and Jacqui’s going, ‘Have you ever met a child? Do you think I can just tear a baby away from his dad and spin him around and have him not freak out? You guys are crazy.’ But, she did it and he did it and it came out great!"

From 2013-16 and again in 2018, Heather Tom's on-screen offspring Will — Katie's son by Bill Spencer — was portrayed by the veteran star's real-life son, Zane Achor, who she shares with husband James. In 2022, the actress candidly admitted to Digest, "Working with Zane was kind of like my own personal hell, and I don’t mean that in a bad way. It was lovely to have him there and give him something to do, but if anyone thinks it’s going to be so much fun being in a scene with my son, it was the exact opposite. Generally, we have twins, so if one of them is having a bad day, we can bring in the well-behaved baby. Here, we didn’t have a twin so I just kept thinking, ‘Please don’t shut down production. Please don’t have a meltdown,’ and then I was like, ‘Am I scarring him for life by telling him that this bearded man [Bill] is his father?’ And, ‘Oh, and now I have to act.’ It was very schizophrenic."

In 2018, Wayne Brady was creating an on-screen ruckus as slimy Dr. Reese Buckingham, who sold Liam and Hope's daughter on the black market while convincing the poor parents that their baby had been stillborn. A loving father in real life, he was tickled pink when his daughter, Maile, joined the cast as Tiffany, and they even got to share scenes. He told Digest, "For all the football dads out there, I’m the drama dad. I’m giving her line readings and she’s like, ‘Dad, I can do this.’ Then, I was like, ‘You’re right, Maile. You can.’ So, it has been a life lesson in trying to give her space." That was easier said than done, Brady admitted. "She had to check me, and it really put me in my place. She simply said, ‘Dad, you are my peer right now. We are on this show. You are not producing or directing it, so it would be weird for me to take notes from you now.’ I just looked at her and said, ‘Maile, I apologize. You are absolutely correct.’ I had to apologize to my fellow actor."

In 2022, while Kimberlin Brown's Sheila was staying under the radar with the aid of a red wig and glasses, she slinked into Il Giardino, where one of the patrons was played by Brown's real-life daughter, Alexes Pelzer. Pelzer had a blast, telling Digest, "It was great. I’d be willing to do more extra work. I like the rehearsal. I liked the wardrobe, and I love seeing my mom in the limelight.” However, her mom's physical transformation was jarring. “It really threw me at first,” Pelzer chuckled. “I see her as kind of a Jessica Rabbit. When I saw her I was like, ‘You look pretty good!’ Of all of her previous disguises, I like this one the best. If I’d seen her on the street, I probably would have done a double take.”
