Sofia Mattsson (Character Name TBA): Mattsson is well-known to GH fans for her 2018-25 run as beleaguered heroine Sasha Gilmore. She will make her entrance onto the Salem scene early next year, given the show’s long lead time from production to air.

Shi Ne Nielson (Amy Choi): Sophia’s (Rachel Boyd) mother is back this week, and on Tuesday, March 31, she will beg her daughter to stay home.

Wes Ramsey (Owen Kent): Ramsey’s alter ego will be on the receiving end of some heated anger from Stephanie (Abigail Klein) in the wake of her kidnapping ordeal.

Jonah Robinson (Mark Greene): Cat’s (AnnaLynne McCord) brother returns to the Salem scene this week.

Asher Antonyzyn (Danny Morgan): It’s another emotionally wrought week for Danny as he copes with the sudden departure of his dad, Jason (Steve Burton).

Bluesy Burke (Charlotte Cassadine): Charlotte is in the mix, sharing scenes with Danny as well as her troubled brother, Rocco (Finn Carr).

Stacy Haiduk (Patty Williams): Haiduk’s return arc as loose cannon Patty continues to unfold this week.

Roger Howarth (Matt Clark): It’s been about two months since Matt made his last Genoa City appearance, but the villain resurfaces this week, meaning that Daytime Emmy winner Howarth is back in the mix.

Christel Khalil (Lily Winters): Fan favorite Khalil returned from maternity leave last week, and her character, Lily, is already on the outs with several loved ones, including her brother and her ex-husband Cane (Billy Flynn), who are none too pleased to learn that she was in cahoots with Victor (Eric Braeden).

Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman Winters): Abby and Devon (Bryton James) are in for some distressing news on Tuesday, March 31.

Status Change

Days of Our Lives

A spokesperson for DAYS reminds Digest that the show does not comment on contract statuses, but it appears that both Elia Cantu (Jada) and Galen Gering (Rafe) have been bumped to recurring status. Gering joined the show in 2008; Cantu made her debut in 2022.

Who’s Going

Days of Our Lives

Bassel Alzaro (Klaus): Alzaro made his debut earlier in March and has wrapped his run, as Klaus took a fatal bullet.

General Hospital

Adrian Anchondo (Marco Rios): Poor Marco succumbed to his gruesome, Cullum-inflicted injuries during surgery last week. In an emotional Instagram post, the actor said farewell to the show, which he joined in March 2025, the actor wrote, “I started this journey with a story about my mother, how she was with me in spirit at my screen test for Marco, hiding in the compact she used to do her make up in while she watched soap operas on the couch. Now, I know she is looking down and proud of me for all the work I’ve done in the past year on one of the best shows ever created.”

Acknowledging that he was “still grieving” in the wake of his departure and Marco’s demise, Anchondo marveled, “I can’t believe the amount of love I’ve received especially in the last few days. I hope I made you proud. To my queer fans, don’t be discouraged, we will keep spreading our love and fighting for that happy ending.” He also thanked the show’s casting director, Mark Teschner, Executive Producer Frank Valentini and GH’s directing team, noting, “You changed my life and I will be forever grateful,” and gave a shout-out to leading man Van Hansis (Lucas) “for holding my hand in more ways than one- you made it easy to fall in love with you.”
