Who’s Coming

Beyond The Gates

Najah Jackson (Samantha Richardson): Jackson clocks more screen time this week as Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Smitty’s (Mike Manning) daughter.

Brennen Suttle (Nathan): The soap newcomer and Atlanta native made his BTG debut on September 12, playing the role of Samantha’s smooching partner. Enthused the actor on Instagram,Grateful to work with such an amazing and talented cast and crew, and incredibly thankful for my team and casting for the opportunity. Bold and Beautiful

Harrison Cone (TBA): Deadline reported last week that the actor will be playing a gay fashion designer who has a “close tie to one of the major B&B characters.” In what is a first for the soap, Cone’s character will have a same-sex male romance with Remy (Christian Weissmann). The actor will make his first appearance on September 16. He was previously seen in the films Ick and I Wish You All the Best as well as roles on television series such as Hacks, The Summer I Turned Pretty and American Horror Stories.

Bryan David Garlick (Hayes Finnegan): Young Hayes will soon be reunited with his father, Finn (Tanner Novlan).

Sophia Paras (Kelly Spencer): When Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) returns to town soon, her young daughter will be in tow.

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood (Steffy Forrester Finnegan): It was revealed last week that the actress is back from maternity leave and has reported to work at the soap’s new studio. Wood has not revealed details about the birth of her fifth child, after announcing her pregnancy in March. To explain Steffy’s absence on-screen, the show said that the Forrester co-CEO needed time away with her children after her harrowing ordeal with Finn’s daughter, Luna (Lisa Yamada), who had supposedly died following another incident in which she took Steffy hostage.

Cary Christopher (Thomas DiMera): Thomas will accompany his dad, Chad (Billy Flynn), to the Brady Pub this week.

Leann Hunley (Anna DiMera): Fan favorite Hunley notches more air time this week.

Amelia and Kennedy Hileman (Victoria Kiriakis): The adorable twins are back this week as Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) and Xander’s (Paul Telfer) daughter.

Thaao Penghlis (Tony DiMera): Penghlis’s return stint as the DiMera patriarch continues this week.

Cosette Abinante (Emily “Scout” Cain): Scout, who remains in Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) custody while Drew (Cameron Mathison) is in the hospital, appears again this week.

Asher Antonyzyn (Danny Morgan): Danny is a young man on a mission this week.

Bluesy Burke (Charlotte Cassadine): Charlotte is slated to share scenes with her mother, Lulu (Alexa Havins).

Nazneen Contractor (ADA Justine Turner): Justine is back on the scene as Anna (Finola Hughes) presents her with new evidence that links Drew to Judge Heran’s murder.

Cassandra James (Terry Randolph): Look for Terry to interact with Portia (Brook Kerr) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) as she contends with the shocking return of her one-time co-chief of staff.

Wally Kurth (Ned Quartermaine): Ned is on hand for some major goings-on in the Quartermaine family this week.

Gary James Fuller (James West): Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) son needs some extra loving this week from his grandmother Felicia (Kristina Wagner), who is helping to care for him while his mom receives medical care in Boston.

Erika Slezak (Character Name TBA): The One Life to Live (ex-Victoria) legend has officially begun taping the mystery role that will bring her to the canvas this fall, according to a message on her office website written by its operator that read, “Just heard from Erika! She is currently in Los Angeles, busy taping her scenes at General Hospital. She shared that her first week went well, and she felt warmly welcomed by everyone at GH. ‘Everyone at GH is so wonderfully kind and helpful, and by now I know my way around the studio a bit,’ Erika mentioned. She has reconnected with many old friends from OLTL, which has made her feel comfortable and at ease in her new environment.”

Scarlett Spears (Donna Corinthos): Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) youngest shares scenes with her daddy this week.

Viron Weaver (Wiley Corinthos): Michael (Rory Gibson) and Willow’s son notches more air time this week as he faces a major milestone: his first day of school!

Lauralee Bell (Christine Blair): The once and future Mrs. Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) is back in the Genoa City mix this week.

Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore): The Daytime Emmy winner gets more screen time this week, sharing scenes with Christine.

Michael Damian (Danny Romalotti): Danny pops up again as well, and will be seen interacting with his son, Daniel (Michael Graziadei).

Mishael Morgan (Amanda Sinclair): Daytime Emmy-winning star Morgan is back for more as Cane’s (Billy Flynn) attorney.

Who’s Going

General Hospital

Marc Forget (Pascal): While viewers have yet to find out who he was working for, the baddie who was perfectly fine letting Britt blow up has ended his turn as her overseer at the Five Poppies now that she’s headed back to Port Charles.

Mercedes Lopez Renard (Colette Moreau): The double agent was busted by the WSB and has been sent off to The Hague to face charges of treason.

Stephen A. Smith (Brick Wallace): The sports commentator’s latest pop-in to Port Charles — which saw Brick interact with Jason, Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny — wraps up on Monday, September 15.

Casting About

Rachel Boyd (Sophia, DAYS) appears in the new film Sick Puppy, which had its world premiere at FrightFest on August 25…. Paige Herschell (Jacinda, GH) had a recurring role in Peacock’s recent hit The Paper, which is the new spin-off of The Office. She plays Gloria Tornado and shared the news on Instagram. “Okay, so I got to play this pretty wild and crazy meteorologist in a few episodes on the new Office spinoff, The Paper. The cast is super funny and everyone was so cool and kind. All episodes now streaming on @peacock #thepaper,” she wrote….

Industry News

Short Cuts: Finola Hughes (Anna, GH) let her Instagram followers know of an achievement well worth celebrating. “Wanted to share some amazing news…. @itsmandymills and my film ‘Darling’ won best short at @nefilmfestival Woo Hoo!! Thank you Larry Rosen and everyone at #northeastfilmfestival for your support and all the work you do. Thank you to everyone who participated in this film, your contribution is so valued and we share this win with you 💕💕💕,” she wrote.

Alumni Report

Jonathan Bennett (ex-JR, All My Children) had news to share last week about The Groomsmen Second Chances on Instagram. “Our @GLAAD Award-Winning Movie is coming to TV this Saturday! When we set out to tell the story of friendship and love in The Groomsmen, we knew it was special. Then to be recognized by GLAAD as the Best Film of the year, still overwhelms us with gratitude. Gratitude for everyone that helped to put this trilogy of movies together, so we could help show the world that love is for everyone, just like @hallmarkchannel is for everyone. We are proud that this move is the first gay wedding movie in Hallmark history, but we are even more proud to be a part of creating a space where everyone can feel seen. Vail Bloom (ex-Heather, Y&R) shared a reel on her Instastory that shows she shot a film in Louisville, Kentucky called The Pastor Next Door.

Adain Bradley (ex-Xander, B&B) is joining S.W.A.T. Exiles as a series regular with Y&R alum Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm).

Pierson Fodé (ex-Thomas, B&B) has Swiped premiering on Hulu on September 19 and has scored a role in the new Robert Zemeckis-directed film The Last Mrs. Parrish with Jennifer Lopez and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Game of Thrones). “I believe the appropriate words are ‘GREAT SCOTT! ‘when you step into a Bob Zemeckis project along side this cast and crew @netflixfilm – I am beyond excited and crossing my fingers we all get Delorians by the end of filming,” he winked on Instagram.

Jophielle Love (ex-Violet, GH) shared some big news on Instagram. “Very excited for the new @coach commercial I got to be part of, playing young Elle [Fanning] ! Enjoy!” she wrote.

The Hunting Wives, the Netflix hit starring Brittany Snow (ex-Susan, Guiding Light), has been renewed for a second season. The streaming service broke the news on its Instagram, writing, “omg its official….THE HUNTING WIVES: SEASON 2 is coming y’all!!”

Kevin Spirtas (ex-Craig, DAYS) will be appearing in the new musical romance My Spirits Soar as Sir Simon, beginning September 26 through November 2 at The Group Rep Theatre in North Hollywood, California. Tickets are $44 for general admission and $38 for students/seniors..

Real-Life Status

Rules of Engagement: Big congratulations are in order for As the World Turns alum Billy Magnussen (ex-Casey), who popped the question to photographer/creative director Erica Firestone earlier this month on a beautiful beach in Sardenia, Italy — and she said yes! They shared the happy news in a joint Instagram post, with Firestone writing, “anywhere, just as long as you’re by my side #fidanzati 💍🤍.”

In Memoriam

Polly Holliday, who played a prison inmate leader for several episodes on Search for Tomorrow in 1974 and later became infamous for her character Flo’s “Kiss my grits” catchphrase on the 1970s sitcom Alice, passed away on September 9 at the age of 88.
