Comings & Goings: Casting News for GH, Y&R, DAYS, B&B and BTG for the Week of March 2
Here’s the very latest casting information about who’s coming and who’s going on General Hospital, Young and Restless, Beyond The Gates, Bold and Beautiful, and Days of Our Lives.
Who’s Coming
Beyond The Gates
Ben Gavin (Derek Baldwin): Ashley’s (Jen Jacob) ex appears again this week.
Ernestine Johnson (Shanice Johnson): The fan favorite is in the mix again this week.
Iona Morris Jackson (Dr. Monica McCormick): The actress, who has a rich range of credits and has appeared on classic shows like Night Court and Moesha, made her debut on BTG last week. She is the older sister of Phil Morris, who portrayed Tyrone Jackson on Y&R.
Dominique Madison (Lynette Wise): Hayley (Marquita Goings) will be seen scrambling to meet Lynette’s demands.
Greg Vaughan (Dr. Kial Rollins): Kial continues to pursue a relationship with Nicole (Daphnee Duplaix).
Jordi Vilasuso (Grayson Perez): Look for more appearances by the Daytime Emmy winner this week.
Bold and Beautiful
Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy Forrester): Brewer, who is hiding her real-life pregnancy on screen, remains heavy in storyline as she continues to insert herself into Electra’s (Laneya Grace) personal life.
Days of Our Lives
Tina Huang (Melinda Trask): Look for Melinda to attempt to get through to Sophia (Rachel Boyd) this week.
Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis): Justin is on hand to support Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), whose wife Stephanie (Abigail Klein) has been kidnapped, on Tuesday, March 3.
Wes Ramsey (Owen Kent): Ramsey, who first played Owen in 2009, returned to the Salem scene last week and will continue to air this week.
Richard Wharton (Dr. Wilheim Rolf): The secret lab is a hotbed of major storyline drama this week — and Rolf is right in the thick of it.
General Hospital
Asher Antonyzyn (Danny Morgan): Danny will be featured in several storyline fronts this week and will intersect with characters including his dad, Jason (Steve Burton), and his grandmother, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn).
Bluesy Burke (Charlotte Cassadine): Look for Burke in scenes with on-screen mom Alexa Havins (Lulu) on Wednesday, March 4,
Lily Cardone (Delilah): Cardone’s Delilah enters the Port Charles scene on Tuesday, March 2, and will share pivotal scenes with multiple key characters. Cardone’s credits include 9-1-1 on Fox and the Amazon Prime series Night Sky.
Nazneen Contractor (Acting District Attorney Justine Turner): Turner’s slow-burn relationship with Sonny (Maurice Benard) heats up this week.
Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht): Liesl shares some personal news with son Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and niece Nina (Cynthia Watros) this week.
Christopher Goodman (Dr. Alcott): The man of medicine is called to duty on Tuesday, March 2. Portrayer Goodman has appeared on cable dramas like Yellowstone and All Rise.
Paige Herschell (Jacinda Bracken): As Michael’s (Rory Gibson) love life continues to flourish, he will be spending more quality time with the lovely Jacinda.
Wally Kurth (Ned Quartermaine): The fan fave had some choice words for his son-in-law, Chase (Josh Swickard), on the Monday, March 2 episode.
Patrick Scott Lewis (Councilman Ezra Boyle): When Ezra met up with Laura (Genie Francis) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) on Monday, March 2, he looked quite a bit different. That’s because, as Soap Opera Digest exclusively reported last week, the role normally played by Daniel Cosgrove has been temporarily recast with Lewis. Lewis will appear in a handful of episodes that were filmed when Cosgrove, who lives on the East Coast, was unable to commute to Los Angeles due to the impact of winter storms on air travel. This marks Lewis’s second Port Charles alter ego; in 2024, he appeared in one episode, sharing scenes with Jens Austin Astrup (Kai) and Tabyana Ali (Trina).
James Patrick Stuart (Valentine Cassadine): Valentin is a central figure in some big drama that unfolds in Port Charles.
Young and Restless
Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter): Fairbanks notches more screen time as Sharon (Sharon Case) wants some answers from Daniel (Michael Graziadei) about his involvement with Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) estranged wife.
Who’s Going
Bold and Beautiful
Romy Park (Poppy Nozawa): Poppy, who arrived on B&B in 2023, has been absent from the canvas since last November, and her portrayer, Romy Park, shed light on her status with the show when she posted a major personal update on Instagram. “Only a few people were aware that in late December and early January, I was actively packing up my place and getting ready to move back to my native East Coast (I am a homeowner there),” she wrote. “I’m still aiming to go, but my plans are on hold.” She explained that this was due to “a huge opportunity on one of my projects makes it necessary for me to stay and see it through. I’ve been working tirelessly and hoping it’s not too much longer to announce what I’ve been working on.” As a result, Park announced, “I’ve had to temporarily step back from acting.”
Park went on to say, “I have been actively working on becoming a producer so that I can be the boss of my own acting career and to have freedom and autonomy. Those dreams are slowly coming to fruition and it has been years of blood, sweat and tears. I’ve fallen down and heaved myself back up more times than I can count. It has not been an easy road, but for the first time in my life I feel TRULY empowered. I’ve learned to stand up to people who are deemed to have more status and expertise and have gained their respect in doing so. I have proven my creative and intellectual prowess much to their surprise (and also to mine at times 😂). I want to tell the stories I want to tell. I am not just an actor. I am a storyteller.”
General Hospital
Daniel Cosgrove (Councilman Ezra Boyle): The actor was stranded on the East Coast in January due to inclement weather and was temporarily recast with Patrick Scott Lewis, who debuted on Monday, March 2.
