Stars From General Hospital, Days of Our Lives And More React To Their 2025 Daytime Emmy Nominations
The countdown to the 2025 Daytime Emmy Awards has begun with the announcement of the nominees in all of the daytime television categories. Among the soap stars from Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and Young and Restless who were nominated for their work over the past year, many of them took to social media to react to the news. Some were first-time nominees overwhelmed by receiving an Emmy nod, and others were daytime vets with previous nominations — and wins — under their belt who were still honored to be included among such talented performers. Here are some first reactions from some of the nominees:
Laura Wright (Carly, GH)
“Shining bright and feeling so much love today. Thank you all for the congratulatory messages — your love and support mean so much to me — it’s such a fun ride. I’m honored to stand next to the incredible women in this category and so grateful to be a part of the daytime world.”
Michelle Stafford (Phyllis, Y&R)
“Thank you! Thank you for this! I am so incredibly honored to be in this group. To be an actor is a gift already. To work as an actor and then to work with incredible people. This is really icing on the cake. I am fully, fully aware that these moments in life don’t come around often. I am just so grateful. I am so honored to be in this group with five women who I consider friends… but damn… it looks like I’m buying lunch.” [The Lead Actress nominees traditionally enjoy a lunch together before the Emmys, hosted by the previous year’s winner, which in this case, would be Stafford.]

Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis, GH)
“Always grateful for a sweet nod, however, cheers to all my fellow actors nominated or not. This acting medium is not for sissies. Daytime television actors and crew work without a net. 130 pages of dialogue, 60 or more scenes with only one quick rehearsal a day. We shoot sometimes up to eight hour shows in five days. Proud to be a member of this community.”
Courtney Hope (Sally, Y&R)
“So grateful to be nominated again against these powerhouse women! And I’m so proud of my Y&R family for all their nominations!”
Greg Rikaart (Leo, DAYS)
“This is so thrilling. I love my job. I love this genre. I love the incredible talented company of people I get to play with every day. This is the most delicious icing on a very decadent cake. Big congrats to the other nominees!”

Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea, Y&R)
“I’m very honored, I love my job, and very grateful!”
Paul Telfer (Xander, DAYS)
“What an absolutely lovely surprise. Huge thanks to the whole DAYS family — and especially Linsey Godfrey [Sarah] and Serena Scott Thomas [ex-Fiona] for being so amazing with me throughout the whole story with Xander’s mum. Forever grateful to work with these incredible performers who make me so much better at what I do. Huge thanks to [former DAYS Head Writer] Ron Carlivati for creating Fiona and giving us such great material to work with. And, of course, massive congratulations to my DAYS brothers Eric Martsolf [Brady] and Greg Rikaart [Leo] — just an honor to be nominated alongside you both.”
Jacqueline Grace Lopez (ex-Blaze, GH)
“I cannot believe this. Thank you, Daytime Emmys, and thank you thank you thank you, GH.”
Blake Berris (ex-Everett, DAYS)
“Thank you to the whole team at DAYS! Very, very honored.”
Emily O’Brien (Theresa, DAYS)
“I am incredibly honored for this Emmy nomination, thank you for this massive recognition amongst this talented group of women… and to be on this ride alongside my darling Linsey Godfrey is such a gift! I also celebrate today with Paul Telfer, Blake Berris, Eric Martsolf, Greg Rikaart, AnnyLynne McCord [Cat], and Ashley Puzemis [Holly]. I am so proud of our cast and show. Congratulations!”
Kate Mansi (Kristina, GH)
“Strong group of women I’m honored to be among!”
