General Hospital Comings & Goings: Blythe Howard Cast as Monet, Attorney with Mystery Tie to Port Charles
Another new character is on their way to Port Charles. Blythe Howard has been cast on General Hospital in the role of Monet, an attorney who will make her first appearance in the Wednesday, September 23 episode.

“I am very excited to welcome Blythe Howard to the cast of General Hospital,” the soap’s executive producer, Frank Valentini, told TV Insider, which broke the news of her casting.
Valentini also revealed that Monet is tied to a character already on the canvas. “Look for her to have an unexpected connection to a beloved Port Charles resident,” he teased.
Viewers can look for Monet to join the law firm of Miller and Davis, joining Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) as she represents someone in town who is badly in need of a litigator. Given all the legal trouble people in Port Charles get into, there are plenty of options for clients, from Nina (Cynthia Watros), who was just arrested for Jack’s (Chris McKenna) attempted murder, to Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) or Chase (Josh Swickard), who are currently in the process of separating.
GH will mark Howard’s daytime debut, though her resume includes appearances in primetime series such as Mindhunter, Dynasty, Yellowstone, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, Walker, and Bel-Air.
According to her official website, Howard was inspired to pursue an acting career after winning a contest to be a VJ for a day on MTV’s Total Request Live. She booked her first commercial less than a week after moving from Washington State to Los Angeles, CA.
Monet is the latest in a flurry of new characters who have recently been added to the GH canvas, joining fellow Port Charles newcomers Agent Baines (Alimi Ballard), Dr. Nichols (Kearran Giovanni), Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel), and Tristan Rogers (Dean Geyer).
