General Hospital Recap: New Evidence Links Carly to Jack’s Murder as Sonny Vows to Take On Jude
On the Tuesday, November 3, episode of General Hospital, things looked grim for Carly (Laura Wright) when Joe (Jonathan Bennett) found evidence implicating her in Jack’s (Chris McKenna) murder. Elsewhere in town, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) came through for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) made a request of Ava (Maura West), Anna (Finola Hughes) tried to talk some sense into Heather (Alley Mills), and more. Here’s everything that went down!
Initial Thoughts
At the PCPD, Joe and Molly questioned Carly about the “C” initial bracelet found on Jack’s body. Carly denied recognizing it but flashed back to re-gifting the jewelry, which Jack had given her, to another person with a “C” name: Charlotte!
Meanwhile, Jason showed up at the station to see Carly and wondered where Diane was. Dante explained that Carly hadn’t been able to get ahold of her attorney. Jason was sure Carly hadn’t killed Brennan but didn’t know if she was covering for Valentin, and Dante told him to convince Carly to cooperate with the police’s investigation.

After Molly and Joe finished questioning Carly, Molly told Dante that it was obvious Carly had recognized the bracelet, even though she’d denied it. Dante thought it would be helpful if they could prove it belonged to her. A frustrated Joe added that Valentin was being as closed-mouthed as Carly, and Dante sighed that they’d never break Carly if she was covering for Valentin.
Jason went into the interrogation room to see Carly, and hinted that he knew about Danny and Charlotte finding Jack’s corpse floating in the pool. The friends had a veiled conversation about the bracelet having been a gift from Jack to Carly, and how important it was to protect Danny and Charlotte.

Knowing that the day before had been the anniversary of Sam’s death, Carly apologized that Jason had gotten dragged into the mess after such a difficult night. Jason replied that he’d had a long talk with Danny about his mom, and he was grateful for everything Carly had done — and was still doing — for his son.
Wrist Watch
Joe, Dante, and Molly received the preliminary autopsy report that revealed Brennan had drowned with no signs of struggle. Since Jack was last seen at the hotel on the last night that the pool was open, the three speculated that Carly had shut down the Metro Court security system so she could kill her ex, then she and Valentin moved him to the nature preserve.
Later, Joe confidently announced to Dante and Molly that he’d secured the evidence they needed. Just as Carly told Jason there had to be a way to turn the PCPD’s attention to Drew and Ava, Dante, Joe, and Molly entered the interrogation room where Joe presented a photo taken from Carly’s social media of her and Josslyn. In the photo, Carly was clearly wearing the “C” initial bracelet on her wrist.

Relative Safety
Brook Lynn asked to meet Josslyn at the boathouse after her run. Offering her a bottle of water, Brook Lynn asked for background info on Jude. After promising to share whatever she dug up in her own research, Josslyn floated her theory that Jude was also in town to stake his claim on JJE.
When Brook Lynn insisted on recycling Joss’ near-empty bottle, Josslyn called her out for attempting to slyly get a DNA sample but willingly handed over the bottle so Brook Lynn could test her DNA and determine if Phoebe was related to Jude. Joss warned that Brook Lynn and her family were in for a fight based on what Jax had told her about her cousin.

Personal Best
Sonny broke the news to Donna that she’d be spending more time with him because Carly had been arrested. He reassured his daughter that Carly had the best people helping her out, and Donna insisted on calling Justine to help her mom out, too.
Not wanting to divulge the truth behind his and Justine’s falling out, Sonny told his daughter that Justine was very busy. Ric arrived, and Donna caught her uncle off guard when she asked if he was going to help get her mom out of jail.
Once Donna scampered off, Sonny explained what happened with Carly and Valentin to his brother and that he was keeping his distance so as not to make things worse for Carly.

Ric said he had an update on Josslyn’s vendetta, and Sonny hoped it was positive news since Hudson had turned down his lucrative offer. Ric shared that, via the bug he’d planted in Hudson’s briefcase, he learned that Jerry’s son, Jude, was in town. Based on what they knew of Jerry Jacks, Jude was bound to make Josslyn’s life miserable.
Ric added that Jude also claimed to be Phoebe’s biological father and wanted her back, but Sonny was sure Jude was just looking for a payout. When Sonny declared he’d do anything to help Brook Lynn, Ric took pause, noting that Sonny wasn’t in “the business” anymore. Placing his hand on Ric’s shoulder, Sonny replied, “Brother, this isn’t business; it’s personal.”
Be Careful What You Wish For
At Miller & Davis, Alexis informed Ava that Jerry Jacks’s son, Jude, was claiming to be Phoebe’s father. Alexis wanted Ava to put her in touch with Ethan so he could submit another paternity test and debunk Jude’s claim.
When Ava implied that finding Ethan was a bad idea, a confused Alexis asked if Ava was saying he’d lied about being Phoebe’s father. Without confirming, Ava warned that if they tracked Ethan down, they might not get the answer they wanted.

Alexis also told Ava that the PCPD found Brennan’s body. When Ava feigned ignorance, Alexis demanded to know why Ava neglected to tell her that Jack had ended up dead after they’d had drinks on the night he disappeared. Deflecting, Ava shrugged that was why she needed their conversation to be covered by attorney/client privilege before rushing off.
Repeat Offender
Trina visited her mom at G.H. and told Portia and Isaiah that Heather Webber was back in town. A furious Portia refused to believe that Heather meant Trina no harm, especially after Trina revealed that she had a stalker and assumed it was Heather.
Isaiah noted that perhaps the person behind the flowers and creepy fan site really was just an obsessed fan, but neither Trina nor Portia wanted Heather sticking around town. Portia promised her daughter that they’d do everything in their power to make sure Heather left Port Charles.

Great Grandma
Anna was shocked to see Heather at Bobbie’s. Thrilled to run into her “friend,” Heather told Anna she’d purchased Wyndemere so she could be closer to her Port Charles-based family, especially Ace, now that Steve didn’t want a relationship with her. Heather was disappointed to hear Laura was in Ireland with Kevin and Ace, but was determined both to build a relationship with her grandson and to make amends with the people she’d hurt.
Trying to talk Heather out of staying in town, Anna cautioned that inserting herself into Ace’s life might backfire now that he was “going to be a teenager soon,” alienating Laura and Elizabeth, and Heather would be better off just coming to Port Charles to visit. Although Heather acknowledged that Anna was probably right, she was resolute about not losing any more time with her grandson.
