General Hospital Recap: Willow Manipulates Nina, Brook Lynn Has a Horrifying Realization, Jordan Wakes Up

Comments

The Monday, April 13 episode of General Hospital was full of shocking moments. Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) pulled a dirty move before making a startling confession to Nina (Cynthia Watros), Curtis (Donnell Turner) was relieved when Jordan (Tanisha Harper) regained consciousness, Ric (Rick Hearst) filled Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in about Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), Justine (Nazneen Contractor) gave Sonny (Maurice Benard) a heads up, and the Quartermaines welcomed Phoebe into their home as Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) made a horrific realization. Here’s how it all went down.

To Tell the Truth

As Nina headed back to the Cain house, Willow told Drew that she didn’t love what she was about to do to her mother, but she had to do it if she wanted to keep shared custody of Wiley and Amelia. Then, she silenced her phone and tucked it in her pocket. When Nina arrived, she was annoyed to see that Drew was in the living room and complained that Willow had to stop giving Travis (the caregiver) so much time off. Willow explained that Travis was a huge help, especially since she’d been so busy lately, so she didn’t mind giving him some hours off. Willow went on to explain that one of the projects she’d been busy with lately was helping Brook Lynn and Chase become foster parents, which Nina correctly figured had been to repay Chase for his help during the trial. Shooting a glare at Drew, Nina commented that Brook Lynn got a good one in Chase and wondered if Willow regretted letting him get away. Willow acknowledged that it was terrible of her to cheat on Chase with Michael, which made what Chase did for her even more incredible.

Then, Willow pulled her phone out of her pocket, claiming that she kept it on vibrate so it wouldn’t bother Drew, and pretended that the woman from CPS needed to speak with her. She asked Nina to give Drew an injection since he was on a strict schedule, then went into the other room. While complaining about having to do this, Nina ignored Drew’s frantic blinking and stuck him with the syringe. Willow returned and thanked her mother, making sure she dropped the used syringe in a bag for disposal (wink, wink). After taking Drew back to the bedroom, Willow returned to question Nina about how things went with Brennan. Nina reported that using Carly to threaten him into toeing the line seemed to work. She hoped he would keep the misleading footage to himself, which led Willow to emotionally confess that the footage wasn’t misleading; it actually proved that she was the one who shot Drew!

Come Back To Me

In Jordan’s hospital room, Lucas told Isaiah that, given Dr. Gannon’s expertise and Jordan being a transplant recipient, he wished Isaiah had been in the operating room. But Isaiah said he didn’t know if he would have been able to handle that and explained that he and Jordan had once been involved, but they’d kept it quiet. When Lucas commented that he must still care about Jordan, otherwise he wouldn’t be there to check in on her, Isaiah replied that even though it didn’t work out between them, Jordan was a good person and had saved his life. Lucas pressed for details, so Isaiah explained that he’d originally come to Port Charles to get help for Lucky, who was being held prisoner by Sidwell. Not liking Isaiah’s plan, Sidwell hired someone to kill him, and Jordan saved him from the hit. Lucas grew quiet for a beat, then said that Marco was nothing like his father, and for Marco’s sake, he was trying to see Sidwell as the man he was now. When Isaiah said he wasn’t going to be among the people who tell Lucas that Sidwell was a monster, Lucas said he wasn’t blind to reality. Lucas then got an alert that Jordan’s labs were in and headed out to update Curtis.

Stella told Curtis that Jordan was getting settled in the ICU and he could visit her soon. She also mentioned letting TJ know what was going on with his mother. Realizing that her nephew was at his wits’ end, Stella brought him to a quiet spot to talk. Lucas approached them to report that Jordan’s vitals were good, including her kidney function, and he could go see her now. Curtis went and sat by Jordan’s side, emotionally promising her that she was going to be okay, and was relieved when her eyes flickered open and she regained consciousness. Out in the hall, Isaiah got a text from Lulu thanking him for his help and reporting that Rocco was improving. Stella walked up to talk to him about Jordan. Remarking on the near-fatal crash, she wondered if he’d been on duty when he heard about the accident, and Isaiah lied that he had been at the cabin all night with Portia.

Ric went to see Alexis, on Sonny’s orders, to tell her that Danny wanted to join the mob. When Alexis began to hyperventilate, Ric calmed her down, then told her that he was there when Danny came to Sonny to ask about joining the organization so he could pursue justice for his father. With a sigh, Alexis revealed that she should have seen that coming, considering the way things had gone down and who Danny’s parents were. Ric called Danny the perfect combination of his parents, Sam and Jason, and Alexis admitted that terrified her. Ric explained how they tried to dissuade Danny from the mob life and told Alexis that Jason made the right call, having her take care of Danny. Just then, Danny arrived from cleaning out the basement, wondering about a ball gag he’d found. Ric shot Alexis a look as she claimed it was probably just part of an old Halloween costume. After Alexis kicked Ric out, Danny deduced that Ric had told her about his visit to Sonny. She explained that while she understood him wanting to help his dad, she also wanted him to be safe. As she hugged him, Danny flashed back to overhearing Ric and Sonny talking about Sidwell being to blame for what happened to Jason.

Tread Carefully

Justine met Sonny in the apartment above Charlie’s Pub to warn him that Sidwell was raging that Sonny had somehow orchestrated Curtis and Jordan’s accident to prevent Jordan from gaining intel on him in connection with Marco’s murder. Sonny was offended when Justine asked him if that was what happened, and she confided that she knew he didn’t cause the crash because the PCPD had determined it was a single-car accident, and Curtis’s statement aligned with the evidence. Hurt, Sonny said he was hoping she would say he didn’t do it because she believed in him, and told her she should know he would never put out a hit on someone he respected. Justine urged him to find a way to protect himself, particularly one that didn’t lead to violence and an all-out war. When Sonny went in for a kiss, Justine tried to resist, but ultimately gave in to his advances.

(Foster) Mother’s Day

Gio showed Emma the tiny instrument crib mobile he got as a gift for baby Phoebe, and she thought Brook Lynn would appreciate the gesture. Gio expressed how happy he was for the Quartermaine family, because they all had big hearts, as evidenced by the way they’d welcomed him into the fold before they even knew he was related to them.

At the Quartermaine house, as Brook Lynn and Chase prepared for baby Phoebe’s arrival, she reminded Olivia, Tracy, and Ned that she and her husband would primarily be the ones to take care of the baby. She thanked her grandmother for opening up her home to the orphaned little girl. Tracy commented that it was the least she could do after Olivia nearly tanked it for them, which led to Tracy and Olivia sniping at one another over Wiley asking what a hooker was. When Michael entered the living room, Olivia tried to drag him into the argument, so Brook Lynn threatened to send everyone to their rooms if they didn’t behave, and they’d miss Phoebe’s grand entrance. Then, the doorbell rang, and Brook Lynn assumed it was the social worker with Phoebe, but when she opened the door, Gio and Emma were on the other side.

Brook Lynn was delighted by the mobile, and Michael bristled when she gushed about how much Willow helped make this day happen. The doorbell rang again, and everyone watched as Chase and Brook Lynn met Phoebe at the door. The family crowded around as the couple sat with the infant on the couch and Brook Lynn introduced Phoebe to her new family. Later, Ned led a toast to the new addition, and Olivia and Tracy soon left to coo over the baby. Sipping her champagne, Brook Lynn flashed back to finishing her wine before heading out to see Gio perform the previous night and frowned. Yanking her out of her thoughts, Gio assured Brook Lynn she would be a good mom. She admitted that holding Phoebe made her regret not having that time with him when he was born, and Gio countered that they were in a good place now. Tracy and Olivia playfully chided Gio for not inviting them to his performance, and Michael admitted he felt bad that Trina’s big night was ruined by Curtis and Jordan’s car accident. As everyone talked about the crash, Brook Lynn flashed back to honking and swerving to avoid an oncoming car last night. As she put two and two together, she looked horrified.

Did Brook Lynn really run Jordan off the road? Why is Willow coming clean to Nina now? Can anyone stop Danny from pursuing his own brand of justice for Jason? Share your thoughts on the latest GH twists and turns in the comments below!
