Who Caused Jordan’s Car Crash on General Hospital? Top Suspects Emerge

Comments

Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and Curtis’s (Donnell Turner) plans for a romantic dinner date ended in tragedy on General Hospital. While en route to the restaurant, Jordan took her eyes off the road to nuzzle with her handsome passenger and didn’t realize a car was careening toward her until it was too late. She swerved to avoid a head-on collision but ran into a guardrail and the impact left her gravely injured — unconscious with massive lacerations to her face. Now, GH fans are wondering not only if she will survive, but who the driver of the other car was. Several other characters were established as making their way down Route 91 at the time of the accident. Let’s run down the suspect list (no pun intended!).

Wheeling and Dealing

Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) had taken off in her car after Danny voiced a desire to blow off some steam. In fact, he said he wanted to race toward something fast (hmmmm). They wound up stranded on Route 91 after crashing the vehicle, and Danny told Carly (Laura Wright) that he had been the one driving. While Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) helped Curtis tend to Jordan, Carly brought the teens back to her house, where she promptly ordered a mechanic from Corinthos Towing to retrieve the car and leave no trace that it had been in a wreck. Once that was taken care of, she turned her attention back to Danny and Charlotte and asked them point-blank if they were responsible for the accident a few miles away from where she’d picked them up.

Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) was also in a rush to get somewhere, as Lulu (Alexa Havins) had summoned him away from the passionate encounter he was sharing with Portia (Brook Kerr) at the cabin to tend to Rocco’s (Finn Carr) infected hand, something she wanted to keep on the down-low lest his medical condition somehow be traced back to the Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) shooting. Might the good doctor have been in such a hurry that he failed to notice Jordan’s oncoming vehicle?

Another possibility is Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). She was at home at the Quartermaine mansion and had just wrapped up a visit with Lucy (Lynn Herring) when she received a call from Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), who let her know that their son, Gio (Giovanni Mazza), was performing at the grand reopening of Charlie’s Pub. Before she left the house to make her way to Charlie’s, she finished her glass of wine (hmmmm again!) — and when she arrived at the pub, she seemed more than a little rattled.

At this point, there’s no indication that the mystery driver was targeting Jordan. However, if someone was on a mission to harm the former police commissioner, that someone might well be her boss, Sidwell (Carlo Rota). He’s an established murderer — he shot Professor Dalton (Daniel Goddard) dead in cold blood in the Wyndemere parlor — and is currently reeling from the brutal killing of his son, Marco (Adrian Anchondo). Sidwell is convinced that Sonny (Maurice Benard) is to blame, and asked Jordan to use her connections at the PCPD to get information on the investigation into Marco’s murder. When she reported that there was no suspect yet, Sidwell became enraged and spat that the acting commissioner, Dante, must be covering for Sonny, his father. Jordan pushed back, citing her confidence in Dante, and Sidwell didn’t like that very much. He threatened that she would lose the cushy life she had working for him if she failed to come through. Blinded by grief, filled with rage and frustrated by her lack of progress in helping him avenge Marco’s death, might he have ordered one of his minions to run her off the road?
