General Hospital’s Willow Makes Her Dirtiest, Most Desperate Move Yet!
Back in January, General Hospital revealed that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) was the one who had shot Drew (Cameron Mathison). Willow then promptly added to her list of crimes against her husband by drugging him so that he would remain in a locked-in state, unable to speak or move. When Michael (Rory Gibson) revised their custody agreement, restoring her access to their kids, Willow thought everything was going to plan. That is, until she realized that Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) knew the truth about the night Drew was shot. More determined than ever to keep her house of cards from collapsing, Willow took more extreme measures on the April 13 episode of GH and turned on her only real ally – Nina (Cynthia Watros)!
Desperate Times
Willow hasn’t always had the best relationship with her birth mother, but she knows that her mother would do anything for her — and Willow proved that she is more than willing to exploit that vulnerability. Nina took it upon herself to get Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to make the traffic cam footage incriminating Willow in Drew’s shooting go away, and agreed to pump Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) for information on Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) whereabouts in exchange. But Jack became frustrated with Nina for dragging her heels and threatened to make the footage suddenly turn up, so she and Willow teamed up to figure out a way to regain the upper hand. But Willow had a plan of her own.
At home with Drew, Willow received a text from Nina, alerting her that she was on her way back to the house. Willow put her phone on silent and tucked it in her pocket. “I know what you’re thinking,” she then told her mute husband. “And I don’t love what I’m about to do to my mom, but I don’t have a choice. If I want to keep shared custody of Wiley and Amelia, I have to be able to rely on her, and this will make sure that I can.”
Desperate Measures
When Nina arrived, Willow pretended that her phone had gone off in her pocket —and while looking at the home screen, she fibbed that she keeps it on vibrate so it doesn’t disturb Drew. She then claimed that she had to speak to the woman from Child Protective Services who had placed baby Phoebe with Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Katelyn MacMullen). Then, Willow pretended to suddenly remember that it was time for Drew’s pain medication. Explaining that he was on a very strict schedule, Willow asked Nina to give Drew the injection, then scurried off into the other room.
Nina ignored Drew’s frantic blinking to tell him he was lucky to have a woman like Willow, who was still willing to go through all this effort to care for him instead of sticking him in a facility somewhere. After Nina delivered the injection, Willow returned and thanked her for helping out. When her mom asked what to do with the used needle, Willow quickly held out a plastic baggie — for disposal, she claimed — and made sure that her mother’s hands were the only ones to touch the syringe.

Once she’d wheeled Drew back to the bedroom, Willow got an update from Nina about how she had tried to get Jack back in check by threatening to tell Carly (Laura Wright) he had been in possession of evidence that could have helped clear Michael’s (Rory Gibson) name in the shooting. Nina hoped that Brennan would keep the “misleading” footage to himself, and Willow grew emotional. “The footage… isn’t misleading,” she choked out. “It’s proof.”
Nina was confused. “Proof?” she asked. “Proof of what?” Willow turned back to her mother and revealed, “That I got in my car… drove over here… and shot Drew in the back.”
Truth Hurts
Willow has had months to ‘fess up to Nina — but chose not to do so until she had leverage against her in the form of that syringe. Nina’s fingerprints are all over it and gives Willow some very compelling blackmail material. By ensuring that her mother is now deeply entangled in Willow’s crimes, she is all but certainly ensuring Nina’s continued silence, making it very tricky, if not impossible, for Nina to consider turning against her.
As Willow continues to escalate her actions in the name of protecting her children, the question remains: how far is she willing to go before everything collapses?
