General Hospital Recap: Peter Urges Anna to Kill Britt, Ethan Is Rattled and Serena Returns
The Thursday, July 30, episode of General Hospital marked the return of Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) and the arrival of mystery man Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel). Meanwhile, Jason (Steve Burton) was rattled by who he found with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), Peter (Wes Ramsey) had sinister orders for Anna (Finola Hughes), Ava (Maura West) discussed her love life with Trina (Tabyana Ali), Marshall (Robert Gossett) offered Curtis (Donnell Turner) some fatherly advice, and more. Here’s the scoop.
Homecoming Court
At the Metro Court Garden, Lucy expressed her disappointment to Felicia that Maxie sold her shares to Michael rather than her. Then, Serena arrived, back home in Port Charles for a visit. Serena updated her Aunt Felicia that Scotty was living in Key West and shared that she was looking forward to meeting her brother, Cody, in person.
After Felicia left, Serena confessed to her mother that her trust fund was gone. Lucy asked Serena for help taking back control of Deception from the Quartermaines.
Killing Spree
Jason visited Anna, and they bonded over the recent traumatic events in their lives as they reconnected. Anna divulged that she was still trying to figure out how Sidwell and Cullum had made her believe that Faison was alive. The things the Faison who had appeared to her had known about her could only be recreated by someone who knew him, like his offspring.
Jason acknowledged that he didn’t know Cassius, but maintained that Britt had been a victim as well and wasn’t involved. Anna still doubted Britt’s innocence, but said she’d try to follow Jason’s lead and move forward with her life. After Jason left, Peter appeared and taunted Anna, sneering that Cassius and Britt were responsible for what had happened to her. Goading her, Peter declared that since Cassius was dead, the only way for Anna to protect her loved ones was to kill Britt!
Here Comes Trouble
While hanging out at the Metro Court Pool, Ava and Ethan grew closer as he tried to convince her that the connection between them was worth exploring. Though surprised that Ethan wanted a relationship, Ava agreed to give them a chance.
When Trina arrived, she questioned her boss about the noticeable spark between her and Ethan. Ava was hesitant to get involved with someone after her failed relationships with Ric and Jenz but revealed that things felt different with Ethan, so she was eager to see where things went.
Also at the pool, Brook Lynn met with Michael to discuss Deception business, and he divulged that Drew had recovered and was divorcing Willow. After Michael warned his cousin that Willow could go after Chase, a worried Brook Lynn shared the news about Drew and Willow with her husband, who had joined her at the pool with Phoebe. Chase reassured Brook Lynn that she and Phoebe were his focus.
Ethan approached the trio to say hello and was glad to hear that they’d be signing Phoebe’s adoption papers the next day. Then, as he began walking back to Ava, Ethan stopped dead in his tracks when he recognized the man, Hudson, speaking with the pool attendant.
Spill the Tea
Over tea in the Quartermaine solarium, Tracy and Stella updated each other on their latest family troubles, including Curtis’s determination to prove that Isaiah was responsible for the car accident. Stella confided that she was torn about supporting Curtis during the trial because she worried he was making a mistake by not taking the plea deal.
Later, Michael told Tracy that Willow and Drew were getting a divorce, and he feared that Willow would make a beeline for Chase. Defending Chase, Tracy pointed out that he’d come through in making Brook Lynn and Phoebe his priority, and they’d officially be a family tomorrow. But Michael still feared that Willow would find a way to get to Chase.
Promises, Promises
While caring for Des at Portia’s house, Curtis discussed his legal strategy with Marshall, which hinged on convincing the jury that his belief that Isaiah left the scene of the accident was reasonable (since he didn’t have proof). Curtis was resolute that Isaiah had no place in his newborn son’s life, but Marshall urged him to reconsider the plea deal and find a compromise with Isaiah. Later, Curtis promised Des that nothing would take him away.
Deal With The Devil
Ahead of the trial, Isaiah wrapped up work at G.H., venting to Britt that he was sick of the tension between him and Curtis and wanted to nail Curtis in court. Elsewhere in the hospital, Jack cornered Tristan to see how he was settling in. Attempting to draw a firm boundary, Tristan stated that he didn’t want anybody from the WSB showing up at the hospital, and his reports would be filed when there was news to report. Jack replied ominously that those terms weren’t Tristan’s choice to make.
Later, as Tristan and Britt were consulting on a patient, Jason stepped off the elevator and was alarmed to see Tristan — his WSB escort from Jakarta to Port Charles — working at the hospital alongside his girlfriend.
