Michelle Parkerton has been watching soaps since she was 12, when she spotted a cute boy (aka Paul Ryan) on As The World Turns. After managing to schedule most of her college classes around General Hospital, she put her knowledge of daytime dramas to use working for the much-missed Soaps In Depth magazine. A reporter and editor for the print magazine’s entire 23-year run, Michelle then transitioned to the Soaps In Depth website before eventually joining the staff of Soap Opera Digest. The list of daytime icons she’s interviewed over the years is lengthy, but her chats with John Stamos, Marj Dusay, Kim Zimmer, Anthony Geary, and John Aniston are among her favorites. A graduate of Rutgers University, Michelle lives with her family in New Jersey, where her job as Coordinator of Chaos for her busy teens has more plot twists than what’s happening on The Bold Days of Restless Hospital.
