General Hospital Recap: Jason and Danny Reunite, Tristan Roberts Arrives
General Hospital celebrated its milestone 16,000th episode on Monday, July 13 and it was full of must-see moments, including Jason’s (Steve Burton) return, the debut of soap newcomer Dean Geyer as Tristan Roberts, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) reunion, a turning point in Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) marriage, a new path for Sonny (Maurice Benard) and more. Here’s everything that happened!
Home Stretch
A mysterious man on a plane headed to Port Charles was reading Lucy’s Travel Guide to Port Charles, and his seat partner was revealed to be Jason. During the flight, Jason flashed back to his imprisonment in the WSB black site in Jakarta and had a nightmare about being tortured.
Jason’s companion told him a car would be waiting for him once they landed and told him to enjoy the rest of his life. Later, the man approached Elizabeth at the hospital hub and introduced himself as Tristan Roberts, the new surgeon on staff.

At a Crossroads
As Brook Lynn and Chase had it out over his relationship with Willow, Brook Lynn declared that she felt abandoned every time he rushed to help his ex. Chase argued that Willow didn’t have a large family to depend on the way Brook Lynn did. Brook Lynn clapped back that she needed Chase too, now more than ever as they were building a family together, and he admitted that he’d never considered that his actions would make Brook Lynn feel insecure.
Chase apologized for taking their marriage for granted, and Brook Lynn apologized for reverting back to the scheming woman she’d been before meeting Chase. She offered to confess to Willow, but Chase said they needed to keep quiet how she had tried to frame her for Jordan’s crash because Brook Lynn could face charges for tampering with evidence.

As the couple reaffirmed their love for one another, Chase proclaimed that he was happy there were no more secrets between them — unaware that Brook Lynn was still hiding the fact that she was the other driver in Jordan’s accident…
Ghosts of the Past
As Anna and Valentin reunited at her apartment, she was surprised to hear that after he’d escaped from Steinmauer, Carly had hidden him in her attic for months. Valentin also confirmed Obrecht’s story that Anna had been held captive at Wyndemere, and she was relieved to know that it wasn’t a delusion she’d conjured up.
Peter then appeared behind Valentin and grinned that Anna had been right all along. Valentin noticed that Anna suddenly seemed distracted, but she quickly covered, and they discussed how she’d found the letter about Cassius in Faison’s chateau and pieced together that he was pretending to be Nathan.

Anna showed Valentin out, and as they parted ways, they shared a lingering hug. Once she was alone again, Peter reappeared and warned Anna not to let Valentin distract her because she had important work to do. “I know,” Anna said.
Better Man
Carly ran into Jack in the hallway at G.H. and hissed that she accepted Josslyn’s career as a WSB agent but would never forgive him for luring her daughter into the bureau. Jack contended that his feelings for Carly had been real, and he regretted recruiting Josslyn, but his instincts were right because Josslyn was an excellent agent and had been integral in bringing down Cullum.
Jack apologized for making Carly feel so desperate to get Josslyn out that she turned to Valentin. Jumping to Valentin’s defense, Carly said she’d seen a different side to Valentin while they’d worked together. Valentin had put his life on the line and was willing to go back to Steinmauer to save Josslyn and Charlotte — which was more than Jack had ever done, she added. Dropping one last hit, Jack informed Carly that Anna was back in Port Charles, reminding her of the hold that Anna had on Valentin.

For the Greater Good
Tracy was outraged by Laura’s decision to nominate Sonny to fill the empty seat on the hospital’s board of directors. Although Laura defended Sonny as someone who had the best interests of the city in mind, Tracy fumed that he’d killed A.J. and didn’t deserve a spot on the board. Sonny arrived in time to hear that and offered to take his name out of the running. Tracy gloated.
On his way out, Sonny ran into Elizabeth in the hallway and filled her in on what had happened. Marching into the conference room with Sonny on her heels, Liz outlined to Tracy all of the ways that Sonny has contributed to the hospital (donating the Stone Cates AIDS wing and the Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries, as well as supporting the Nurses’ Ball) and declared that her grandparents, Steve and Audrey, would have wanted him to be on the board.

After Elizabeth’s rousing speech, Tracy told Sonny that he’d never receive her vote, but she wouldn’t oppose his nomination. Laura asked if Sonny still even wanted to be on the board, and he said yes. Then, Laura was delighted when he and Tracy shook hands, vowing to work together for the good of G.H.
Old Habits Die Hard
Lucas picked Britt up at the PCPD and brought her to Bobbie’s, where they discussed her release and how she needed to rebuild her life in the wake of the disaster with Sidwell and Cullum. The friendly rapport between them took a turn when Britt realized that the key to her old room (which she’d hidden in the hallway) no longer worked because Carly had changed the locks.
Assuming that Lucas had known about it, Britt accused him of bringing her to Bobbie’s to humiliate her, and Lucas spat back that his sister couldn’t have possibly known to hold the room after Britt fled the country with a minor. As they bickered, Lucas and Britt’s newfound friendship quickly devolved into their old adversarial one. “I liked you better when you thought you were dying,” he sneered and then left.

Betrayal Runs Deep
Gio and Rocco got into a spat at the pool, with Rocco refusing to forgive Gio for ratting him out to Dante. Even if Rocco wanted to be mad at him forever, Gio vowed to always be there for his little brother. Emma assured Gio that Rocco would eventually come around.
Meanwhile, Charlotte tried to get Danny to smooth things over with Rocco, but the boys just ended up fighting again about the night Jason was arrested, before Danny walked out. Then, when Charlotte told Rocco that she wished he’d told her and Danny about the shooting, Rocco grumbled that he was sick of his sister taking Danny’s side.
After leaving the pool, an upset Danny went to the Quartermaine boathouse and was shocked to see his father standing on the dock. An emotional Danny ran into Jason’s arms. Father and son shared a hug as Jason assured Danny that he was really home.

Should Danny forgive Rocco now that Jason is back home? Should Brook Lynn have come clean with Chase? Do you think there are unresolved feelings between Anna and Valentin? Share your theories and predictions about what will happen next on GH in the comments below!
