Four General Hospital Alums Land New Roles
Former General Hospital stars Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan Corinthos), Nicholas Alexander Chavez (ex-Spencer Cassadine), Jeff Kober (ex-Cyrus Renault), and Tuc Watkins (ex-Pierce Dorman; ex-David Vickers, One Life to Live) have all landed exciting new roles in upcoming films and television series. Here’s where you’ll be able to see these actors next!
Bryan Craig Joins The Weapon
Craig, who won two Daytime Emmy Awards for his 2013-16 run as Morgan Corinthos on GH, has been cast in The Weapon. Written by Cody Bobay and Chase Kuker, the story centers around Isaiah Fury, a special ops soldier who survives a secret genetic experiment and uses his newfound abilities to rescue his kidnapped son. Craig will be playing Miller, the youngest member of Fury’s original team.
While announcing Craig’s casting on Instagram, i68 Studios also shared that production on The Weapon begins August 27 in Texas. Once finished, the proof-of-concept short will then be used by the filmmakers to generate funding for a full-length feature film.
Since leaving GH, Craig has found success with starring roles in prime time series like Valor and Grand Hotel as well as in films like American Fighter and Women Is Losers.
Nicholas Chavez Heads to Supermax
GH’s former Spencer Cassadine, Chavez has landed a role in the upcoming action thriller Supermax, reports Deadline. The film stars Will Smith and AnnaSophia Robb as FBI agents tasked with investigating a murder at a maximum-security prison where such a crime should not have been possible. Details of Chavez’s character are not yet known, but the movie’s cast also includes Jafar Jackson and Jason Clarke.
Following his 2021-24 run as Spencer that earned Chavez a Daytime Emmy Award, the actor has gone on to star as Lyle Menendez in Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story and Dr. Charlie Mayhew in Grotesquerie, both Ryan Murphy series. He is also starring in the upcoming psychological thriller The Technique and the remake of the cult horror movie Possession.
Jeff Kober Gets Violent With Brothers
Kober will appear in the new Apple TV series Brothers, which stars Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey as fictionalized versions of themselves who discover that they might actually be siblings. There are no details yet as to Kober’s role in the series, but the actor can be spotted in the trailer holding a gun in one hand and punching a tied-up Harrelson across the face with the other. Brothers premieres on September 23.
Kober had an extensive career in film and television before his 2020-25 run as Cyrus Renault on GH. Since his run on the daytime soap ended, the actor has continued working, earning a 2026 Primetime Emmy nomination for his role as Duke Ekins on the HBO Max series The Pitt. Kober is currently nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the Guest Performer category for the end of his GH arc as Cyrus. He previously won the Supporting Actor trophy for the role in 2022.
Tuc Watkins Plays a Male Escort
Watkins, who played the slimy Dr. Pierce Dorman on GH from 1996-97, will soon be seen in the new series Escorted, which will stream on Prime Video. Deadline reported that he will be playing the role of Neil, a personal trainer who is also an escort on the side. The romantic comedy is created by Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso), who will star as a divorced father in New York City who unexpectedly begins working as a male escort. The half-hour series also stars Lesley Manville and Leslie Bibb.
In addition to his GH and OLTL roles, Watkins has starred in movies like The Boys in the Band and The Electric State, as well as television series like Desperate Housewives, Criminal Minds, The Great North, and Paradise.
