General Hospital Recap: Drew Vows Revenge as Jason Reunites With Sonny and Carly

Comments

On the Tuesday, July 28, episode of General Hospital, Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) had a dramatic showdown, Jason (Steve Burton) reunited with Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard), Rocco (Finn Carr) reached a tentative truce with Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), Emma (Braedyn Bruner) grilled Josslyn (Eden McCoy) about the WSB, and Trina (Tabyana Ali) was alarmed by Gio’s (Giovanni Mazza) news. Here’s everything that went down.

Honey, I’m Home

At the boathouse, Nina and Jack were shocked when Gio reported that he’d rescued Drew from the lake, then driven him home. Worried for Willow’s safety, Jack and Nina took off. Meanwhile, as Willow gathered some of Wiley and Amelia’s toys so she could flee the country, she was distracted by a muddy footprint on the floor. She was horrified when the front door slammed shut, and a deadly (and wet) Drew was standing there.

Calling his wife a heartless psychopath, a menacing Drew threatened to expose Willow’s crimes to Michael, so she’d lose custody and go to prison. Just as Drew taunted Willow into attacking him with Wiley’s baseball bat, Jack, wielding a gun, and Nina burst into the house.

Nina wanted Jack to kill Drew, but Jack instead produced the evidence that Drew had misappropriated federal funds and claimed to have proof of other misdeeds. Drew threatened to take the other three down with him if they turned him in, but Jack pointed out that Drew’s Congressional infractions came with a hefty sentence. Willow noted how disappointed Scout would be in him if he went to prison and convinced Drew to keep quiet and grant her a divorce.

Agreeing to Willow’s terms, Drew spat that the only reason she was getting away with it was that she had the WSB on her side — but warned that a double-cross by the agency was inevitable. Then, he kicked Willow, Nina, and Jack out of his house.

On her way out, Willow took off her wedding rings and dropped them on the floor, calling it the sound of freedom. “Enjoy it while it lasts, you treacherous bitch,” Drew hissed in her wake.

Three’s Company

While Sonny and Carly were arguing about Valentin in her kitchen, Jason entered through the back door. Jason’s friends were thrilled to see him and filled him in on what had happened while he was gone, like Sidwell’s arrest. Jason shared that he’d made progress in repairing his relationship with Danny during their road trip, Carly was shocked to find out that Jason had been protecting Rocco all along. Although Jason didn’t give details about his time in Jakarta, he said he was glad that it wasn’t Rocco in the prison cell.

As their conversation returned to Sidwell and how Sonny had saved Turner’s life, Jason wondered why Sidwell had taken the Acting D.A. as a hostage. Without sharing the true nature of their relationship, Sonny mused that it would be nice to have a friend in the D.A.’s office.

Carly updated Jason that Joss refused to leave the WSB, but she was happy that her daughter was no longer working undercover. Sonny then piped in that Valentin was a free man and dating Carly. Carly persuaded Sonny not to start a fight and the trio agreed to celebrate being back together.

Grandfather Clocked

Portia and Isaiah were settling in for their first night at home with baby Desmond when Marshall arrived to meet his grandson. Marshall’s reunion with his former daughter-in-law left Isaiah feeling a bit left out. Marshall promised his grandson that he wouldn’t miss out on spending time with him the way he had with Curtis.

After Portia informed Marshall that she and Curtis were trying to put aside their animosity for Des’s sake, Marshall told Isaiah that he was open to getting to know him. Marshall hoped that they’d all be able to move forward after the trial, but Portia feared that it depended on the outcome.

 Teen Scene

Charlotte met up with Danny and Scout at the Quartermaines’, where an excited Danny shared that he’d be living at the mansion with his dad. Things were tense upon Rocco’s arrival, but he and Danny called a truce, and Rocco even made amends with his sister.

Danny and Charlotte decided to boat over to Egret Island despite Rocco thinking they’d surely get caught. Rocco and Scout stayed behind, and as they looked over her charity swim sponsor list, she confided that she wasn’t just doing the breast cancer fundraiser in memory of Grandma Monica, but also to honor her dad, who’d taught her how to swim.

Down at the boathouse, after successfully returning from Egret Island, Charlotte told Danny that she hoped Rocco would let go of his anger now that things had settled down.

Job Satisfaction

Josslyn met up with Emma and Trina at the Metro Court pool and informed Emma that she’s a WSB agent. Emma immediately wanted to know if Josslyn was aware of what had been happening with her grandmother’s mental breakdown, but Joss swore that she hadn’t; she’d asked Emma questions about Faison because she was trying to figure out what Cullum knew about Anna.

Emma urged Josslyn to quit before the WSB destroyed her the way the agency destroyed everyone else, and begged Trina to weigh in. Trying to placate both sides, Trina said that she didn’t love Josslyn’s job choice but supported her decision. When Joss stepped away to take a phone call, Trina told Emma that she wasn’t happy that Josslyn lied to them about the WSB, but hoped things would be better now that the truth was out.

Gio then arrived and announced that Drew had recovered, which worried Trina. Upon returning to the patio, Josslyn felt left out as she watched Emma, Gio, and Trina happily chatting. Then, she made a call and requested a secure phone line to the WSB’s Berlin office.
