John J. York

John J. York grew up in Chicago as the fifth of six children and, in 1983, moved to California to give acting a shot. York waited tables to make ends meet and eventually landed the lead role on the short-lived TV series Werewold. Then, in 1991, he was cast on General Hospital as Mac Scorpio, the younger brother of mainstay Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), earning a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination for Outstanding Male Newcomer He’s been a GH mainstay ever since. Married to Vicki Manners since 1986. York has one daughter, Schuyler (born 1991).
