General Hospital’s Heather Webber is Back! Alley Mills Teases What’s Ahead
Two years after General Hospital sent the notorious Heather Webber off to Arizona, she made a surprise return to Port Charles on the October 30 episode. While Trina (Tabyana Ali) was far from happy about this, two-time Daytime Emmy winner Alley Mills called herself “really happy and extremely grateful” to be back on GH in a new interview with TV Insider, where she teased what’s ahead for Heather.
Alley Mills Calls Heather ‘Cured’ — In Her Own Mind, At Least!
Mills’ last stint ended when Heather was released from Pentonville Prison and moved to Sedona with her precious son, Steven Lars Webber (Scott Reeves). Heather has been wreaking havoc in Port Charles on and off for decades and, before being sprung, had been behind bars for the streak of stabbings and killings she committed as The Hook, including the since-reversed death of Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). But Mills said that it’s a kinder, gentler Heather who makes her way back to town.
“As far as Heather is concerned, she’s cured,” Mills explained. “Now, she would never hurt anybody. She just has to convince everybody else of that.”
And with a new big, fat bank account to support her dreams of being accepted by Port Charles society, Heather is at least going to look good fighting that uphill battle! “She just won’t let people get her down,” Mills said. Comparing Heather to those resilient roadside air dancers, the actress mused, “You throw them down, and they pop back up. I feel like Heather is kind of like that now, but in Gucci.”
Still, acceptance won’t come easily, given the hell that Heather has put characters from Trina and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) to Anna (Finola Hughes) and Carly (Laura Wright) through. “Every day, somebody new tells her how horrible she is,” Mills previewed, adding, “Heather is going to stand up to Trina, she’s going to stand up to Portia [Brook Kerr], she’s going to stand up to Britt. She’ll stand up to whoever.”
