General Hospital Recap: Justine Dumps Sonny and Josslyn Goes Rogue
The Monday, October 5, episode of General Hospital saw Justine (Nazneen Contractor) break off her secret romance with Sonny (Maurice Benard), and Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) realize their marriage was damaged beyond repair. Elsewhere, Serena (Kelly Kruger) had a prickly run-in with Jason (Steve Burton), Gio (Giovanni Mazza) made a life-changing decision, and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) disobeyed her WSB superiors in the name of vigilante justice. Keep on reading for the rundown.
Split Decision
When Justine confronted Sonny about the attack at Pentonville, he professed that he was innocent. But Justine didn’t believe him, citing the video footage of Vito and Sully. Sonny admitted he sent Vito to Pentonville, but insisted he’d wanted Vito to make sure Sidwell was protected because he knew, if anything happened, he’d be blamed.

They went in circles, with Sonny maintaining his innocence and Justine struggling to believe him. Finally, Justine ended their relationship, vowing that the DA’s office would discover the truth and put him away. Furious, Sonny shouted that he was not lying. “That’s exactly what a liar would say,” Justine sadly responded before leaving.
Fighting Words
After her fight with Chase, Brook Lynn went to Volonino’s, hoping to work through her anger at the punching bag. Instead, she ran into Hudson. He offered his sympathies about how difficult it was when a marriage broke up, especially with a child involved. When Brook Lynn asked if he was speaking from personal experience, Hudson claimed he’d seen a friend go through it. Brook Lynn lamented that Phoebe had been the answer to her and Chase’s prayers, and while she would have done anything to protect her family, she no longer saw a way for them to work through their problems.

Separation Anxiety
Chase met Monet at the Metro Court Gardens and told her to file legal separation papers, having realized his wife had irreparably broken his trust. Monet instructed Chase to rent a house and arrange for childcare as soon as the paperwork was filed.
Britt was with Willow on the other side of the restaurant and noticed her cousin was distracted by Chase’s presence. Willow denied that she was still in love with her ex (even as she flashed back to her recent erotic fantasy about him). Britt sighed that she’d thought Jason was “the one” but now realized they were incompatible. Willow encouraged her not to shut the door on Jason and said that she’d found real love once and regretted letting it get away. Declaring she was done with love for herself, Britt urged Willow to go after a second chance with Chase.

Seeing Monet exit, Britt darted out too, creating an opportunity for Chase and Willow to talk. When Willow commented that she’d noticed Chase walking the grounds at night but was respecting his request to keep her distance, he replied that she no longer had to stay away. Willow appeared to get the message that Chase considered his marriage to be over.
Falcon Crest
Arriving at the Quartermaine mansion for a Deception meeting, Serena met Jason and blasted him for threatening her father’s life and running Scott out of town. A stoic Jason said he wasn’t responsible for Scott’s decisions, which further irritated Serena.
In the kitchen, Yuri told Tracy he overheard Chase and Brook Lynn fighting at the boathouse, but he refused to betray Brook Lynn’s privacy and only said they’d both looked upset. However, Yuri promised Tracy he’d take a picture of Chase and Willow if he saw them in a compromising position.

Tracy had just ordered Yuri out to get rid of the noisy falcons nesting on the roof when Jason entered the kitchen to let her know that Serena had arrived. Yuri asked Jason to convince Tracy to let the birds stay until they migrate South. As Tracy and Serena awkwardly waited for Brook Lynn to join their meeting, Serena tried to break the ice by mentioning the endangered falcons she’d seen earlier. Tracy groused that the nest on the roof was a headache, and Serena was horrified that Tracy planned to remove it. When it became clear that Brook Lynn was a no-show for their meeting, Serena pretended to leave, but instead sneaked upstairs.
Finally, a distracted Brook Lynn arrived home. Informing Tracy that her marriage was over, Brook Lynn was determined to do whatever was necessary to keep Phoebe. Back in the kitchen, Jason was on the phone trying to track down Vito when he heard a scream. He raced outside and found Serena hanging upside down from the roof!

Day of Reckoning
Gio told Trina about the disturbing fight he’d witnessed between Sonny and Dante. He confided that while his grandfather denied being behind Curtis’s attack, he was pretty sure Sonny was responsible. He added that he’d relayed her message to Sonny (asking Sonny not to hurt her dad any further) and believed his grandfather would protect Curtis.
Trina questioned if Gio would cut ties with Sonny the way Dante had. He wasn’t ready to go that far, but said he couldn’t keep living at his grandfather’s house — that would mean he was okay with what his grandfather did to Curtis, and he wasn’t.

The two looked over a promotional postcard for their October 13 show at the Cat’s Eye Lounge and Gio declared he was focusing on his music career. Meanwhile, Trina’s stalker had the same postcard added to their bulletin board plastered with images of Trina — with Gio’s face scratched out.
Gone Rogue
At the WSB Field Office, Josslyn told Chief Baines she believed Sonny had lied about leaving the mob and must be planning a big move. She wanted to hand over JJE to another agent so she could take down her former stepfather. Baines refused to reassign her, saying Sonny’s criminal activities were a problem for local law enforcement, not the WSB, and not to satisfy Josslyn’s personal vendetta.
Baines gave Josslyn an ultimatum to either follow orders or resign, and she pretended to fall in line. Satisfied, Baines instructed her to run an audit on JJE’s activities in the Far East and notify the bureau of any questionable investments.

Later, Josslyn summoned Hudson to the Metro Court Gardens, but she arrived first and clocked Chase and Willow looking cozy at a table. Once Hudson arrived, Josslyn asked for a full report on JJE’s Far East dealings and also asked him to create an acquisitions plan to demolish Sonny.
How will Sonny respond to his loved ones turning their backs on him? Will Chase fall back into Willow’s arms? Let us know in the comments below what you thought about the latest episode of GH and what you predict will happen next!
