General Hospital Recap: Carly Dupes Lucas, Danny’s Crush Exposed, Portia Okays Paternity Test
The February 10 episode of General Hospital was full of some intense conversations around Port Charles! Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) convinced Portia (Brook Kerr) that it was better to know who her baby’s father was than to live in limbo, Jason (Steve Burton) blamed himself for a friend’s current predicament, Tracy (Jane Elliot) gave Cody (Josh Kelly) a fresh perspective on his relationship as Molly (Kristen Vaganos) blamed Kristina (Kate Mansi) for ruining everything, Lucy (Lynn Herring) turned to Sonny (Maurice Benard) for help, Danny’s (Asher Antonyzyn) questions about the Cassadine family tree piqued Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) suspicions, Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) made a plan, and more. Here’s the full recap.
Now Or Never
Liz brought Portia a food delivery, which Isaiah had sweetly ordered for her after she’d told him that the salad was her latest pregnancy craving. Portia went on to tell her friend how easy her relationship with Isaiah has been, and how well they fit together, but she was worried that would change once she had the paternity test. Because her daughter was already struggling with her parents’ separation, it wasn’t going to be easy for Trina to handle Isaiah being the father, and if Curtis turned out to be the father, custody arrangements would complicate their divorce proceedings. Although she wanted to be fair to Curtis after the way he missed out on Trina’s childhood, Portia added that his expectations have been crushing her since the moment he found out about the pregnancy. Portia vented that she needed more time to adjust to it all, including the reality of Curtis and Jordan playing house with her child. Having been in a similar situation with Jake’s paternity, Elizabeth said she understood why Portia wanted to put off knowing, but her friend seemed stressed by not knowing, too. By taking the leap and getting the paternity test done, Liz added, Portia could focus on getting ready for the baby. Agreeing, Portia stated that it was time to take the test and find out the truth so she could move forward.

Lost The Plot
While reading Pride & Prejudice in the Quartermaine kitchen, Cody flashed back to his fight with Molly about her manuscript. When Tracy entered, she made fun of him for reading a Regency romance, and Cody bristled that he wasn’t a bumbling idiot. Tracy declared that nobody thought that of him, leading Cody to share how disappointed he’d been that Molly based one of the main characters in her romance novel —rude, dumb, stable hand Casey — after him. Tracy wondered how Jane Austen fit into the picture, so he explained Molly had compared Casey to Mr. Darcy, which was confusing because from the bit he’d read so far, Darcy was a rich billionaire. Giving him a crash course on the enemies-to-lovers trope, Tracy thought Cody should be flattered that Molly fashioned her hero after him, because she’d been working on her novel for months, which meant she’d been thinking of him for months. Although he understood what Tracy was getting at, Cody worried that Molly would eventually realize he was just a heel. Reassuring him that his girlfriend knew there was more to him than met the eye, Tracy suggested that what happened between Molly’s characters in her book was up to her, but he could control what happened between them in real life.

Nailed It
After dumping Jenz, Lucy went to get a mani/pedi, but her relaxation was ruined when Ava showed up at the nail salon. After Lucy divulged that she’d broken things off with Jenz, the women began bickering again over the billionaire, lobbing jabs at one another. (Ava claimed that Jenz used the real estate agent to get a good deal on Wyndemere and quickly found her “Lucy-ness” to be quite tedious; Lucy retorted that his love of old things only extended to Greek sculptures and not his art vendors.) Not getting the relaxing self-care she’d been looking forward to, Lucy walked out mid-pedicure.
Across the salon, Molly met Kristina and blasted her sister for sending her book to her agent behind her back. Kristina felt the book was ready for submission, but Molly cried that she’d never planned to have it published. Then, when Kristina called her out for panicking because her agent loved the book, Molly reluctantly revealed that her agent had mentioned a multi-book deal, but she and Cody had a huge fight after he’d read part of her manuscript and had gotten upset by the way she’d depicted him as Casey. A fight that they never would have had if Kristina hadn’t gone behind her back, Molly pointed out. Kristina thought that Cody would change his mind once he finished the manuscript and would be proud of her when he saw the book on store shelves. But when Molly avoided answering, Kristina asked if she planned to sell the book, and her sister shrugged, unsure.

History Lesson
At the Quartermaine estate, Danny looked at Charlotte’s social media page while waiting for Alexis to visit. Once his grandmother arrived, he asked her for a Cassadine family primer under the pretense of a genealogy project for history class. As Alexis began sharing the family tree, Danny asked where Charlotte fit in, so Alexis explained that Valentin had been led to believe that Mikkos was his father, but he was actually Victor’s son. The only ancestor Danny and Charlotte share, she added, was Nikolai, his great-great-grandfather and her great-grandfather.
Can’t Stop This Feeling
Updating Sonny on his conversation with Felicia, Jason said that Anna believed Cesar Faison had been holding her captive, and he was the one who had to stop the renowned villain. When Sonny wondered if Faison was still alive, Jason relayed that Felicia thought Anna was suffering from PTSD and blamed himself for missing the potential signs when he’d spoken with Anna about Faison before she disappeared and then abandoning her when she resurfaced in France to stay back in Port Charles to help Britt. Sonny tried to assure Jason that there was no guarantee he would have even been able to help Anna, but Jason couldn’t shake the feeling that Anna sent Felicia to him for a reason.
Their conversation was interrupted when Alexis texted about Danny, so Jason invited her to Sonny’s house. Once there, she asked Jason how close Danny and Charlotte were. As far as Jason knew, they were just friends, so Alexis recounted how Danny had asked her to decipher the Cassadine family tree, but he seemed most interested in how he and Charlotte were related. Hinting that there might be some things Danny wanted to get off his chest that he didn’t want to speak about with his grandmother, Alexis suggested that Jason have a chat with his teenage son. With that, Jason went back to the mansion and found Danny, offering to help him out if there was anything he wanted to talk about, the school project or otherwise. With a sigh, Danny realized his father knew there was no school project and divulged that he wasn’t just interested in his Cassadine roots, but Charlotte’s as well.

After Jason left, Alexis and Sonny went over the paperwork for Michael’s custody arrangement with Willow. Glad that Wiley and Amelia wouldn’t be used as bargaining chips the way Scout had been, Sonny asked Alexis how her granddaughter was adjusting. Reporting that Scout was worried about her father but starting to relax, Alexis said the next step was getting Willow to allow Danny and Scout to see each other again. Sonny advised her to hold off on that front because if Scout needed stability and routine, Danny wasn’t going to be the best person to get it from if he was focused on Charlotte. When Sonny quipped that Charlotte was a good match for Danny in the thrill-seeking department, Alexis sighed that the potential trouble they might get into together was why she wanted Jason to speak with his son. Alexis took off when Lucy unexpectedly showed up, and once she was alone with Sonny, Lucy announced she wanted him to “clean Sidwell’s clock.”
Fact-Finding Mission
After learning about Anna, Valentin was determined to go back to Wyndemere, but Carly insisted that she go to Spoon Island this time. Since Sidwell had given her an open invitation, wanting her to make peace with Lucas for Marco’s sake, she’d have no issue getting in. However, she hated that Josslyn was using Lucas for her own agenda, and now she’d be doing the same. Valentin advised her to stay home then, because her hesitation would only end up getting her hurt. However, the idea of getting Josslyn out of the WSB and getting her brother off Spoon Island only further fueled Carly’s desire to search Wyndemere. Before she left, Valentin suggested she orchestrate a trip to the wine cellar to find out if that entrance to the catacombs was still open. He also warned her to play it safe and not arouse suspicion because she needed an invitation back, and Carly knew she needed to gain her brother’s trust for that to happen. While she was gone, Valentin grew sad as he looked at photos on Charlotte’s social media page from her blizzard hangout with Rocco and Danny.

The Devil You Know
Returning to Wyndemere, Lucas called out for Marco and was stunned to see Pascal back from Europe. When Pascal informed him that Marco was unavailable and suggested that he knew more about Marco’s business than Lucas did, Lucas called out the butler for his attitude and accused him of being jealous because he wanted Marco for himself. Pascal retorted that Lucas was so consumed with his “paltry romance” that he was blind to what was really going on, but Marco interrupted before he could expand on that. When Pascal then said that he was trying to explain that Marco was occupied, and Lucas didn’t take it well, Marco announced they needed privacy and pulled his boyfriend from the foyer into the living room. As Lucas ranted that Pascal was a liar and a loose cannon, Marco shut him up with a kiss. Then, he offered to speak to his father about reassigning Pascal to another property, wanting Lucas to feel comfortable living at Wyndemere. Promising Marco that he was happy and wasn’t going anywhere, Lucas kissed him back.
Back out in the foyer, Sidwell caught his butler eavesdropping at the double door to the living room and chuckled that Pascal should have stayed in France. Having overheard the altercation with Lucas, Sidwell warned that Pascal would have to leave if he couldn’t avoid arousing suspicion. Proclaiming that not only did Lucas have it in for him, but was one step away from discovering something he shouldn’t, Pascal didn’t think it was wise to have Lucas running around Wyndemere. Annoyed that he had to repeat a conversation they’d already had, Sidwell made it clear that if Lucas was important to Marco, then Lucas was important to him.

Next, Sidwell asked Pascal how things had gone in France, and the butler revealed that Anna “escaped” from his car, got into an altercation with police and was arrested, then was admitted to a mental institution. Sidwell wanted to know if they still had access to Devane, but when Pascal said he wasn’t certain, Jenz decided to let Anna “cook” until they needed her, since it had all gone as he and Cullum had intended. Then, when there was a knock on the front door, Sidwell announced he’d get it himself and dismissed his butler for the evening. Pleasantly surprised to see Carly at the door, Sidwell brought her into the living room, where she announced to a stunned Lucas that she was there to apologize.
