General Hospital Recap: Jason and Britt Reunite as Nina Dumps Drew in the Lake

Comments

On the Friday, July 24, episode of General Hospital, Nina (Cynthia Watros) attempted to rid her family of Drew (Cameron Mathison) once and for all while Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) made plans to go on the run. Elsewhere, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) came face to face with Jason (Steve Burton), Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) proposed a trade to Jack (Chris McKenna), and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Chase (Josh Swickard) began to patch up their friendship. Here’s everything that happened.

Life Goes On

Willow, Nina, Rocco, Scout, and Drew were at the boathouse when Danny and Jason arrived home from their road trip. Jason wanted to speak with Willow about Danny and Scout’s living arrangements, but she claimed she was too busy. Jason’s interest was piqued when Willow asked Nina to bring Drew home so she could go to the office to call the WSB.

After Scout told Drew she wanted the family to get along better, Jason declared that he and his brother needed to put aside their differences for the sake of their kids. Jason then brought Rocco into the solarium and assured the worried teen that he’d take full responsibility for shooting Cullum if the WSB came after him because of Danny’s claim.

Jason attempted to ease Rocco’s guilt over letting Jason take the fall for him by reminding Rocco that he had saved his and Britt’s lives that night. He advised Rocco to find a way to move forward with his life, revealing that he was attempting to do the same.

Back at the dock, Scout informed her dad how much she and Danny enjoyed living together and hoped that Drew would reconsider letting them spend time together. Scout got offended when Danny made a snide comment about Drew not being able to speak.

Stepping in, Nina professed that Drew loved Scout and wanted her to be happy. Danny then apologized to Drew for his remark and his past actions, promising that Scout could always count on him.

Talking it Out

Elizabeth went to Willow’s office and questioned why she hadn’t yet arranged for Drew’s communication device. Willow claimed she’d been putting it off because of the unresolved issues between her and Drew, not wanting to hash them out while he was speaking through the device. Willow agreed to have the device installed the next week.

Liz exited as Willow received a phone call from Jack, who delivered the bad news that he was unable to find the black box, so there was no leverage against Drew. Saying that he owed Nina, Jack offered to put Willow, Wiley, and Amelia on a plane out of town that night and provide them with new identities.

Willow phoned her mom with the update and invited Nina to join her and the kids in their escape.

Born to Run

Knowing that Anna wanted Chase back as a detective and for them to be partners again, Dante made an effort to repair their professional relationship. He asked if Chase would consider bringing Willow in for questioning in the Sidwell case, since Ezra had claimed there was a connection between the two, but it was ultimately Chase’s call.

Having decided that bringing her to the PCPD was the right thing to do, Chase arrived at Willow’s office to escort her to the station just as she was headed out to flee town!

Let’s Make A Deal

At Bobbie’s, Valentin apologized to Alexis for any scrutiny she’d received as his relative while he was on the run. When Alexis urged him not to waste his second chance, Valentin replied that he didn’t plan to — but he was intent on recovering his assets and would use the WSB to do it.

Meanwhile, Josslyn returned to work and sat in on Jack’s interview with Britt. Brennan asked if Britt had seen a secured black box at Wyndemere, potentially left behind by Cullum, but Britt knew nothing about it. After Britt left, Joss stated she believed Britt was telling the truth. Jack asked if Josslyn had seen the black box during her time at Wyndemere, but she hadn’t. When she asked about the contents, Jack replied that it was classified information. Understanding that her rank had limitations, Josslyn accepted there was a reason for her not to know what the contents were.

Later, Valentin arrived at the WSB office to make a deal: He’d return the black box in exchange for something of value to him.

Attitude Adjustment

Elizabeth and Lucas were annoyed when Britt was a no-show for work. Once Britt finally showed up, she insisted to Lucas that her tardiness wasn’t her fault since she’d been summoned by the WSB, but he huffed that her victim act was wearing thin.

Lucas apologized for saying that he’d liked Britt better when she believed she was dying, but pointed out that she was still acting entitled. Refusing to give her a pass for her bad behavior, Lucas wondered if Britt wasn’t going to change her attitude, then what was the point of her being back at G.H.?

With Lucas’s comment in mind, Britt explained to Liz why she’d been late and apologized for not letting anyone know. But she got annoyed that Liz had already informed Stella and HR, per hospital policy. Later, Britt felt a pang of jealousy when she saw Elizabeth and Lucas reviewing apartment listings. But then she turned the corner and was thrilled by the sight of Jason sauntering into the hospital!

Push Comes to Shove

Scout and Danny headed off to meet up with Alexis, leaving Nina alone at the boathouse with Drew, whose chair was positioned at the top of the dock.

After leaving a frantic message for Jack, asking if Willow was right that they no longer had leverage against Drew, Nina made a split-second decision about Drew. As she was unlocking the wheels on his chair, Nina was shocked when he spoke to her!

“What’s wrong, Nina?” Drew taunted. “Get some bad news?” Regaining her composure, Nina replied, “Bad for me. Worse for you.” Then, she pushed Drew’s wheelchair into the lake!
