General Hospital Recap: Dante Writes Off Sonny as Gio and Justine Question His Innocence
On the Friday, October 2, episode of General Hospital, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) day went from bad to worse as Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) severed ties with his father, and Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Justine (Nazneen Contractor) doubted his claims of innocence. Meanwhile, Chase (Josh Swickard) denied Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) request, Tracy (Jane Elliot) got Lulu (Alexa Havins) to see reason, Michael (Rory Gibson) tried to sway Jordan (Tanisha Harper), and more. Here’s the rundown.
He Said, He Said
Gio entered his grandfather’s house amid Sonny and Dante’s fight over the Pentonville attacks. When Gio asked Sonny if what he’d heard from Trina was true, Sonny insisted that his order for Vito had been to tell Sully to keep an eye out for Sidwell, not take Sidwell out. Still believing that Sonny was lying, Dante warned Gio not to get conned by his grandfather, then stormed out.

Gio was conflicted over whether to believe his father or his grandfather. When he relayed Trina’s message that Sonny make sure nothing else happened to her father, an emotional Sonny vowed that he wasn’t a threat to Curtis and reiterated that he had nothing to do with the attack. “I love your father, but he’s wrong about me,” Sonny stated, his eyes filling with tears as the two hugged.
Told You So
Enraged that Danny beat up Rocco, Lulu told Tracy she would press charges if it happened again. Using Lulu’s own teenage troubles as examples, Tracy got her former stepdaughter to see that she shouldn’t try to control Rocco’s life. She also encouraged Lulu to let Rocco make his own mistakes — otherwise he’d shut her out for meddling — and be there for him when he did.

Later, a wrecked Dante returned home after his fight with his father. He stunned Tracy when he apologized for giving her a hard time over the years regarding her feelings for Sonny. “You were right about Sonny. You’ve always been right,” he solemnly stated.
Fundamentally Broken
Arriving at the boathouse to see Brook Lynn and Michael having a heated discussion, Chase questioned what Michael was “right” about. But before Brook Lynn could answer, Michael received a call from Dr. Muller at the Baden-Baden clinic and left. Once they were alone, Brook Lynn huffed that Michael had tried to give her unsolicited advice, then suggested to Chase that they move into a place of their own so they could work on their marriage without interference from the rest of the family.
Chase refused, claiming the estate was the best place to fix their issues because her family was part of the deal, and working on their marriage anywhere else would just be running away from their problems. Brook Lynn, however, felt there was another reason Chase didn’t want to move away. After some needling, he admitted he didn’t trust Brook Lynn not to move back to the Qs someday and tell her lawyer that he’d abandoned her and their daughter by renting a house in the first place.

Hurt that her husband felt that way, Brook Lynn stormed out of the boathouse. Recalling Michael’s advice that her feelings for Chase were clouding her judgment when she should focus on keeping her daughter, Brook Lynn mustered up new resolve.
Friendship Test
An angry Jordan summoned Justine to the Metro Court Gardens and demanded to know if she was going to continue dating Sonny. Justine argued that there was no proof Sonny was behind the attack, which angered Jordan further. If Justine could keep seeing Sonny after what he did to Curtis, then they were no longer friends, she snapped.

Their conversation was interrupted by Michael, and Jordan jumped at the excuse to walk away from Justine. Michael told Jordan that the clinic in Germany needed an answer immediately about her scar surgery, but she was adamant that she couldn’t leave Curtis. Michael encouraged Jordan not to waste the opportunity to reclaim her identity, or she might end up resenting Curtis later.
Reasonable Doubt
Also at the restaurant, Emma fretted to Felicia and Mac that it was going to be impossible for Gio to accept that his grandfather was guilty of the attacks. Mac and Felicia expressed their concern that the people around Sonny are often targets, and asked Emma that she and Gio keep their eyes open to the danger, so they’d stay safe. Later, Gio arrived and asked to speak with Emma privately. As he filled her in about what happened between his dad and grandfather, Gio revealed he wasn’t sure he believed Sonny was innocent.

Say It Ain’t So
Across town, a devastated Sonny went to the studio above Charlie’s. As he drank whiskey straight from the bottle, he messaged Justine that he really needed to see her. But when Justine finally arrived, Sonny was heartbroken that she might believe he’d ordered the attacks on Sidwell and Curtis. “I want you to look me in the eye when you tell me if you were behind it,” she demanded.

Stand and Deliver
Returning home after visiting Curtis at the hospital, Trina told Josslyn about the attack at Pentonville — and that Sonny was apparently responsible. Furious, Josslyn said Sonny made fools out of everyone who’d believed he’d gone legit, and Trina admitted that she now saw Sonny as the monster Josslyn did.
Next, Josslyn revealed that wanting justice for anyone who’d been hurt by Sonny was one of the main reasons she’d joined the WSB. When Joss added that she’d stop Sonny, no matter what the cost, Trina promised to be waiting with champagne to celebrate once she was done.

The Kids Are Alright
When Scout apologized to Rocco about Danny, Rocco confessed that he’d provoked Danny with what he’d said about Sam. He figured Scout would be mad at him for throwing her mom’s name into the mix, but she appreciated that Rocco understood her in a way no one else did, especially when it came to her father. She swore she could never hate Rocco, and they started kissing.
Lulu returned home to see the teens making out through the window. Taking Tracy’s advice, Lulu entered the house and pretended she hadn’t seen anything. After a flustered Scout exited, Lulu commented that it was nice Rocco had a friend like Scout. Relieved his mom hadn’t caught them kissing, Rocco gave Scout a thumbs-up through the window that they were in the clear.
