Stephen Nichols

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Stephen Nichols moved to California to become a monk, but eventually pivoted to acting. He got his big break when he was cast as Steve “Patch” Johnson on Days of Our Lives in 1985, a role that earned him a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in 1988 and four Soap Opera Digest Awards: Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1986, Outstanding Lead Actor in 1988, and Favorite Supercouple and Outstanding Hero in 1989. In between stints on DAYS, he has also appeared on Santa Barbara (as Skyler Gates, 1992) and played Stefan Cassadine on General Hospital (1997-2003) and Tucker McCall on Young and Restless (2010-13) and has a long list of stage credits. Nichols has been married to wife Lisa since 1984 and has three children: Vanessa, Dylan and Aaron.
