Stranger Danger

The action in this Young and Restless spoilers preview for the week of July 28 opens with chaos in the middle of the maze at Cane’s (Billy Flynn) estate. Carter (Vincent Stalba) appears to have completely lost control as he suddenly pulls out a gun. “What’s happening?” Lily (Christel Khalil) cries out, stunned, as Carter takes her hostage. Trying to de-escalate the situation, Chance (Conner Floyd) quickly steps in, shouting, “Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa!” Cane is stunned by the unfolding chaos and jumps in, desperate to help defuse the situation. “Whoa, hey, hey Carter! Don’t do this! You’re going to make it worse for yourself, Carter,” Cane pleads with his right-hand man. At the same time, Chance shouts for him to drop the weapon. “How could I make it worse? It was all for you — and now you want to lock me up? I’ll find my way out of here!” Carter yells, Lily lifts her hands slowly, trying not to show fear.

The Aftermath

After all is said and done, Cane reconnects with Amanda (Mishael Morgan) in his security office. “No, you made the right decision. The authorities needed to be brought in. Are they still here?” Cane asks his lawyer. “Uh, they’re just wrapping up. The bodies will be taken to the coroner’s office, but the case is pretty much closed. So, you’re in the clear,” Amanda tells him. Still uncertain, Cane shoots her a quizzical look and asks, “Am I?”

On the Mend

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) keeps Nick (Joshua Morrow) under her watchful eye as he recovers from his wound. Suddenly, a phone emits a chime. “Is that your phone?” Sharon (Sharon Case) asks. “How is that possible?” Sally (Courtney Hope) asks. As the dings keep coming, Sally says, “We all have service.” Sharon wonders, “Why now?” Victor (Eric Braeden) believes he has the answer to that question. “Because I have a feeling Cane Ashby knows he has lost. We can get the hell out of here now,” Victor announces. Is he right?

Fury Unleashed

The scene quickly switches to Cane’s office, where he’s gripped by the realization that everything he has worked so hard for over the past six years may now go up in smoke. Consumed by fury, he lashes out at the desk, knocking everything from its surface.
