Risk-taking Nola found just what she was looking for when she became archaeologist Quinton’s live-in assistant. After a few wacky adventures and even more close calls, the two planned a church wedding. Too bad the church burned down the week before the big day. Nola rushed to the ceremony on a fire engine, but had plenty of time to relax during a hot-air balloon ride — a surprise from her new husband.
Ed got his divorce papers from Rita in 1982 and found solace in Maureen, who was also recovering from a difficult marriage. She became his secretary at Cedars, and they soon realized that they were the perfect partners.
