General Hospital Recap: Willow and Nina Scheme, Carly and Valentin Break Things Off
On General Hospital on Friday, April 10, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) got jealous after Carly (Laura Wright) spent the night with Brennan (Chris McKenna), Nina (Cynthia Watros) figured out a way to get the upper hand, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) grew more desperate to protect herself, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Ric (Rick Hearst) made strides in their relationship, Cody (Josh Kelly) nursed Molly (Kristen Vaganos) back to health, Laura (Genie Francis) offered her support to Curtis (Donnell Turner), and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) pushed his theory about who killed his son onto Justine (Nazneen Contractor). Get all the details below.
Hey Jealousy
After their intimate night together, Carly walked Jack to the door. He thanked her for giving him a second chance, and she thanked him for the update on Jason. Jack then chuckled that he’d have to prove how invaluable he was to the WSB by finding Valentin. Carly asked why it was still so important to track him down, considering Valentin had escaped months ago, so Jack explained that the agency wanted the intel that the fugitive had on Sidwell’s collaboration with Faison.
After closing the door behind Jack, Carly turned around to see Valentin standing there. He accused her of getting soft for Jack and declared his belief that she was going to double-cross him. Carly replied that she felt bad that Jack loved her when she was using him. She added that she could tell Jack felt guilty about recruiting Josslyn, and Valentin pointed out that Jack still hadn’t even told her. He then asked what would happen when he finally confessed. Would Carly feel sympathy for Jack and forgive him?

Carly professed that she’d never forgive Jack for turning her little girl into a killer, and every minute she spent with him was an act. Valentin kept ranting that she didn’t have to look like she enjoyed it, eventually admitting that he was jealous because he’d developed feelings for her over the past few months. Fighting back tears, Carly said that if Valentin thought she would betray him, then he didn’t know her at all. With a renewed sense of determination, Valentin declared that their sleeping together had been a mistake and they needed to stick to their goal. Carly agreed that they shouldn’t let “some Stockholm Syndrome sex thing” screw everything up. After they angrily shouted at each other about keeping things strictly business, Valentin stormed up the stairs to the attic. Once he was gone, Carly flashed back to the night of passion they had spent together.
The Brotherhood
Ric and Sonny discussed Danny’s request to join the Corinthos organization, and both thought Alexis should know about it. Ric was not happy when Sonny tasked him with updating their mutual ex about her grandson and joked that the mission deserved hazard pay. As the next order of business, Ric told his brother they should be prepared in case Sidwell retaliated against him. Sonny was sure that once Sidwell’s first wave of grief passed, he’d realize that Sonny had no connection to Marco’s murder and look elsewhere.

Ric mused that hopefully Sonny’s declaration to Jenz at the church that fixating on him was taking the focus away from the real murderer was enough for Sidwell to switch gears to his other enemies. As he walked Ric out, Sonny noted that if Sidwell did kill him, the man would lose Laura’s cooperation because there would be nothing to stop her from pointing the authorities in Sidwell’s direction. But just to make sure, he had his people on alert to protect his family, Sonny shared — including Ric.
A Novel Approach
Cody took his caregiver duties seriously after Molly’s surgery, doting on his girlfriend and even carrying her around the house in his arms. Molly told Cody that her days of ignoring her health in favor of her work were over, and he was a big reason why. Next, Molly’s publisher delivered a galley of Laredo Sunrise for her to make any changes before printing, and she offered to rewrite anything in the story that made Cody uncomfortable because he was more important to her than the book. She confided that looking back, she was so hard on Cody because she was afraid to admit how much she liked him. Molly shared that as much as she’d insisted at the time that “Casey” wasn’t him, Cody was the reason her book existed, and she’d even given her characters the happy ending she fantasized for them and didn’t think they’d ever have. Declaring that he still fantasized about her, Cody climbed on top of Molly to kiss her.

Gone Too Far?
At the Cain home, Willow gushed to Drew that everyone in the Congressional caucus seemed relieved that she was trying to make things better for her constituents instead of carrying out personal grudges the way he had while in office, and how amazing it felt to be doing things that make a difference, like helping Chase and Brook Lynn become foster parents. A frantic Nina arrived to speak with Willow alone. Willow pointed out that Drew wouldn’t be able to repeat anything anyway, but Nina insisted that they speak privately, so Willow wheeled her husband back to the bedroom.
Once it was just the two of them, Nina told Willow that Jack was working on another way to get Valentin’s location, and if the second source came through before she did, he would release the traffic cam footage. Willow began to panic, but Nina assured her she couldn’t be tried again because of double jeopardy. Willow cried that the footage would destroy her political career, and Michael would petition for full custody of the kids. With her entire future at stake, Willow begged her mother to try harder to get Valentin’s location out of Charlotte, but Nina said she couldn’t. Nina went on to explain her fear that Charlotte would lose her father, then blame herself for having trusted Nina. As a result, Nina had been stalling Jack while she tried to come up with a plan to protect Willow. Realizing that Jack was using Nina’s love for her daughter against her, Willow suggested they do the same to him… and the one person Jack loved was Carly, Nina realized.

After rejoining Drew, Willow injected her husband with more medication as she rambled that she couldn’t lose her children after the lengths she’d gone through to keep them, and therefore she had to convince her mother to help Jack catch Valentin. Thinking out loud, Willow stated that she felt bad about the difficult position Nina was in, having to choose between her and Charlotte, but perhaps there was a way she could make it easier for her mother.
Turnabout Is Fair Play
Nina asked Jack to meet her at Haven Bistro, and he assumed she had information from Charlotte. Informing him that she refused to betray the teenager’s trust, Nina said it was heartless of him to ask her to choose between Charlotte and Willow. When Jack reminded her that she’d begged him to help Willow and now needed to repay the favor, Nina turned the tables on him and pointed out that if the traffic cam footage resurfaced, Carly would find out that Jack had been holding on to evidence that could have saved her son. Jack huffed that Michael had never been arrested, but Nina pointed out that Michael’s reputation had been damaged thanks to the public opinion that he’d shot Drew and framed Willow for the crime. Driving her point home, Nina said that Carly would never forgive Jack for harming one of her children, and he’d lose her forever. Jack squirmed in his chair because, unbeknownst to Nina, he’d technically crossed the line with two of Carly’s children.

Waiting Game
Laura went to the hospital to check on Curtis, and he updated her that the doctors were able to save Jordan’s sole kidney during the surgery, but her condition was still critical. Laura assured him that Jordan was strong and would fight her way back to him. Curtis shared how horrible it had been trying to get Jordan out of the car with the door stuck, and worried that Jordan might be paralyzed because of the way he’d moved her. When Laura exclaimed that it was amazing he’d managed to get her out of the wreck all by himself, Curtis kept his mouth shut about Valentin’s assistance. Just as Curtis told Laura he’d been holding it together for his family but was close to breaking down, she noticed Sidwell step out of the elevator. Laura approached her blackmailer and questioned his presence at G.H. Sidwell claimed he was concerned about Jordan — saying she was not just his COO but also a friend — and had questions about the car accident. Laura insisted it wasn’t a good time to talk to Curtis, considering he’d been up all night and hadn’t been able to see Jordan yet. Then, Sidwell saw Acting D.A. Turner get off the elevator and stated he’d get his answers somewhere else.
Sidwell walked up to Turner, but she brushed him off, saying she didn’t have time to speak with him. Sidwell watched from the nurses’ station as Justine sat with Curtis in the waiting area and asked, not as the D.A. but as Jordan’s yoga-class friend, how she was doing. When Justine informed him that Jordan recently told her that he was her priority, Curtis thanked her for sharing that with him. Laura pulled Justine over to the nurses’ station to tell her that Sidwell had questions about the accident, but she was trying to keep him away from Curtis. Looking at the man across the hub, Justine promised that she’d handle Mr. Sidwell.

Grasping At Straws
Justine approached Sidwell, saying that she now had time to speak with him. Sidwell wanted to know if the PCPD was investigating Jordan’s car crash as an attempted murder, since he was the common connection between Marco’s being killed and one of his executives being critically injured. When Sidwell insisted that Sonny Corinthos had targeted both Marco and Jordan, Justine replied that there was no evidence that the two were related or that Sonny was involved in either. Pressing the issue, Sidwell shared that he’d asked Jordan to use her connections as the former police commissioner to look into the investigation into Marco’s murder and theorized that Sonny’s moles at the PCPD would have told him that; the car accident could have been Sonny’s attempt to stop her. Justine firmly replied that Jordan simply lost control of her car, but Sidwell wouldn’t let up with his accusation against Sonny and asked why the mobster hadn’t been brought in for questioning in Marco’s case. Turner pointed out that they were looking into all suspects, including Sonny, but if the PCPD acted too quickly, the wrong person could get charged and Marco’s killer would get away. After Sidwell left, Justine called Sonny and asked to meet with him in person.
Back at the waiting area, Curtis thanked Laura for running interference with Jordan’s boss. Then, he told Laura that he was aware she and Jordan were working together to get evidence against Sidwell from the inside. Laura wondered if Jordan might have been targeted because of her connection to Sidwell, but Curtis insisted it was just a horrible accident that happened when she took her eyes off the road for one second to kiss him and then lost control when she swerved to avoid hitting another car. Curtis worried that the time wasted before the ambulance got to them might end up costing Jordan her life.
