General Hospital Recap: Kristina Says Goodbye to Sonny & Alexis as Carly Finds Major Josslyn Clue
The Thursday, June 11 episode of General Hospital was full of surprising revelations and close calls. Kristina (Kate Mansi) shared her big life change with Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) disobeyed Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) orders, Carly (Laura Wright) found a major clue to her daughter’s whereabouts, Nina (Cynthia Watros) worried about “Nathan” (Ryan Paevey), Josslyn (Eden McCoy) cheated death again and more. Here’s how it all went down.
So Hard to Say Good-Bye
Alexis and Sonny were stunned when Kristina called them together to announce that she’d gotten into medical school. After explaining how she was inspired by the doctors who helped her and Molly and took the MCAT on a whim, Kristina revealed that she’d enrolled at UCLA and was leaving tomorrow. Alexis worried about how quickly everything was happening, but Kristina assured her parents that she’d put a lot of thought into her decision. She assured Sonny she’d hired a manager for Charlie’s and told Alexis that Lucas was taking over her role as advisor at the Corinthos-Davis Center. Sonny wished his daughter well before heading out, and Alexis broke down in tears as she embraced Kristina and told her she’d do great.

Book Report
James made s’mores with Cody and Molly outside of the Quartermaine boathouse. Cody broke the news that he wouldn’t be able to attend James’ Little League games because he was joining Molly on her book tour. James wondered if Cody would get bored on the trip, and Molly was touched when Cody explained that when someone you love succeeds, you feel like a part of it, too. After James went home, Molly winked that she needed inspiration for a sequel to her book and she and Cody started making out.

Team Effort
Danny texted Charlotte requesting to meet up, but she went to see Valentin first. He urged her to steer clear of Danny, whom he felt was hotheaded and impulsive. Charlotte, however, was determined to stay by Danny’s side to help guide him in the right direction. Valentin then told Charlotte that if his new plan worked, he wouldn’t be a fugitive anymore.
Later, Charlotte met with Danny outside Bobbie’s, and she declined his request to search evidence to help free Jason now that Sidwell wasn’t around, suggesting they wait until the place wasn’t swarming with cops. Danny realized he’d been shortsighted, and Charlotte smiled that it was good she was there to keep him in check.

The Ring’s the Thing
Carly arrived at Wyndemere and was shocked when Ava explained the WSB agents swarming the place were there because Sidwell was a wanted fugitive after shooting Lucas. Ava felt terrible about accidentally pointing Sidwell in Lucas’s direction. When Cullum arrived to question them, Ava claimed that Jenz was merely her client. Cullum dismissed Ava, but insisted Carly stick around.
Carly deflected Cullum’s questions about Lucas and Josslyn and told him that while she was dating Jack, he had never told her anything about Sidwell. The housekeeper interrupted to show Cullum a ring she’d found, and Carly immediately recognized it as belonging to Josslyn. She secretly grabbed a letter opener, then thought better of it and put it back. Carly blasted Cullum and the WSB for being completely ineffectual, and he sent her on her way.

Carly rushed home and told Valentin about the ring, which proved that Josslyn was being held captive at Wyndemere. She begged him to help rescue her daughter. Valentin insisted they had to make their next move carefully, but was hopeful they could stop this project as long as the villains didn’t have a replacement for Britt.
Status Update
At the hospital, “Nathan” assured Nina he was fine and explained how Sidwell “escaped.” She was grateful he wasn’t injured worse after being attacked by Sidwell’s goons, but he worried about ruining James’s vision of his heroic father. After she gushed about how much James loves his father, “Nathan” remarked how surprising it was she turned out so loving and supportive. He quickly blamed the comment on his head injury, but Nina still found it odd.
Arriving to check on Lucas, Ava asked “Nathan” about Sidwell, but he dodged her questions and excused himself. Later, over drinks at Cafe Cherie, Ava lamented about getting involved with Sidwell and nearly getting Lucas killed. Nina worried that Ava could also be in danger, but Ava dismissed the idea.

Out of Time
Obrecht pored over Britt’s “genius” work on Faison’s final project and thought she could have a working cold fusion prototype in about a week. Josslyn insisted she couldn’t give that kind of powerful energy source to people like Cullum and Sidwell, but Obrecht argued that she had no choice in order to protect her son, Cassius. Josslyn argued that they would all likely be killed once she delivered a finished prototype and urged her not to give up such important leverage. Obrecht worried that stalling could get Cassius killed, and was surprised when Josslyn admitted she didn’t think Nathan’s twin was all bad and truly cared about Britt, James, and Obrecht. Joss then urged her to finish the project — but make sure it failed.
Cullum entered with news that Sidwell had made a foolish error and was a fugitive. Now that he was in charge, Cullum wanted to streamline the operation. He pulled out a knife to eliminate Josslyn, but Cassius burst in to declare he’d have to kill him first. He noted that Cullum wouldn’t want the extra complication of Dante investigating the death of one of his detectives, and Obrecht added that she’d had a hard time working on the project if she were grieving her son. Cullum backed off, but insisted that the project be finished and he wouldn’t let anyone stand in its way.

After Cullum left, Obrecht confirmed to Cassius that she would be able to finish the prototype, and he sighed that it wasn’t what he wanted, but they were out of options.
Can Cassius figure out a way to get himself, Obrecht, and Josslyn out of Cullum’s clutches? How long until Sidwell resurfaces? Will Valentin and Carly succeed in rescuing Joss? Share your GH thoughts and predictions in the comments below!
