Keep on reading for the rundown.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

When Michael found Brook Lynn wrapping a thank-you gift for Willow, he warned his cousin that Willow’s help with Phoebe’s adoption was for Chase’s benefit, not hers. Michael offered to let her use his car to deliver the gift, since Brook Lynn’s SUV had a rattling door, but she nervously explained it away as a minor inconvenience. Her agitation grew when Michael mentioned he was surprised she had the time to plan a musical showcase for Trina on top of taking care of Phoebe, especially since she’d missed Gio and Trina’s performance at Charlie’s to begin with. Managing to shut down Michael’s questions, Brook Lynn headed over to Willow’s.

Michael called Jacinda over and shared his suspicion that Brook Lynn was the other driver in Curtis and Jordan’s car accident. Michael speculated that if Chase found out that Brook Lynn was involved in the accident, he’d turn on his wife and go running to Willow — and not only would an affair between Chase and Willow set Brook Lynn free from a judgmental husband who never got over his ex, but the scandal would cause Willow to lose her Congressional seat. And then, Michael mused, he’d be the one holding all the power over Willow.

Hands Off

Over at the Cain house, Willow divulged to Chase that she didn’t love Drew, regretted marrying him, and wanted out of the marriage. Willow also expressed how ashamed she was that she’d cheated on Chase with Michael, but a gracious Chase replied that it all worked out because her betrayal led him to Brook Lynn and Phoebe. Chase encouraged Willow to trust herself that she could navigate the situation until Drew was better, then she could leave him. As Chase and Willow shared a hug, Brook Lynn approached the house and witnessed the close moment through the window.

Pushing through her hurt, Brook Lynn rang the doorbell to give Willow the gift she’d brought. As Willow, Brook Lynn, and Chase made small talk, Brook Lynn made sure to drop a comment about how lucky she was to have such a supportive partner in Chase. Then, after Chase left to go to the station, Brook Lynn warned that if Willow tried anything with Chase, Brook Lynn would destroy her.

See You In Court

As Portia and Curtis argued over his assault of Isaiah, he continued to defend his actions — and declared that he didn’t want Isaiah to be involved in the baby’s life. Calling him out on the double standard, Portia snapped back that if he was vetoing Isaiah, then she’d refuse to let Jordan be around the baby. Curtis argued that there was no comparison between the two, since he and Jordan had a long history. But Portia was unwavering in her commitment to Isaiah, especially since he’d supported her when Curtis and Trina turned on her after she’d been forced to reveal the affair during Willow’s trial. Curtis accused Portia of refusing to see that Isaiah was covering up a crime, but she countered that the only evidence of a crime committed was Curtis punching Isaiah. She warned Curtis that if she were called to testify in court, she’d tell the truth about what she’d witnessed.

Great Expectations

Valentin approached Carly, calling her out about avoiding him, and she blasted him for being willing to drop everything to race to rescue Anna while Josslyn was still missing and in danger. When she ranted that she couldn’t depend on him, Valentin announced he’d shut down the project at Wyndemere and move out of Carly’s attic. Later, an upset Charlotte stopped over to speak with Carly, rambling that she felt she’d pushed Rocco toward Britt because she’d been so preoccupied with helping Danny save his dad. Offering support, Carly noted that Charlotte couldn’t hold herself responsible for Rocco’s choices and encouraged her not to put herself in any more danger because Lulu was already worried enough.

Having overheard the conversation, Valentin emerged from the attic and told his daughter to listen to Carly and stay safe so he could complete the task at Wyndemere. After Charlotte left, Carly and Valentin apologized to each other for their earlier fight, with Carly adding that she shouldn’t have put expectations on Valentin for their situationship because she knew he’d always love Anna. Grabbing her hand as she walked away, Valentin revealed that he’d developed genuine feelings for Carly. Valentin confided that he didn’t know what the future held but wanted Carly to be with him, and she responded by kissing him.

Mr. Fix-It

While catching up with Tracy at the boathouse, Ethan revealed that he blamed himself for Rocco leaving town with Britt since he’d been the one to secure the fake passport he used in the first place. Their conversation circled back around to the business proposition he had for Tracy, and Ethan proposed that she employ him to assist with her “nuanced dealings.” Agreeing that she could use his unique skill set, Tracy hired him to make sure nothing got in the way of Chase and Brook Lynn adopting Phoebe. Ethan promised that he’d do everything he could to help the couple.

Photo Finish

Alexis and Ava went to the Hammet Gallery in Manhattan and asked the owner, Apollo (played by Maxwell Caulfield), about his former employee, Delilah Wilson. Reiterating what he said he told the police, Apollo claimed not to know much about Delilah, since she was a private person, and hadn’t even been aware she was pregnant. Apollo then stepped into the back hallway to call Ethan, reporting that Ava and Alexis were there, poking around about Delilah. He assured Ethan that he hadn’t divulged anything useful. Meanwhile, Alexis huffed to Ava that the conversation was a bust, but when Apollo returned to the room, Ava managed to convince him to share information by promising a financial reward from the wealthy Quartermaine family. Flipping on his partnership with Ethan, Apollo showed Ava and Alexis a photo taken last summer of Delilah and Ethan, in which Ethan’s arm was draped around Delilah’s shoulder.
