Tokarski’s ‘Dream Come True’
In an Instagram post, Tokarski shared Digest‘s original story along with a beaming photo of herself taken outside of the GH studio. In the accompanying caption, she called being cast on “a dream come true,” and added, “So honored to be joining the General Hospital family. Biggest thanks to [GH Casting Director] Mark Teschner and [GH Executive Producer] Frank Valentini for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime to work on this iconic show. And special thanks to Ivy Artists Management for always believing in me!!”
In the comment section of Tokarski’s Instagram post, several of her new castmates celebrated right along with her. Rory Gibson (Michael), who posted two sign of the horns emojis. “You’re awesome,” Tokarski replied. “So happy we’re working together! 👊” And Scarlett Spears (Donna) said, “Welcome to our family 😍😍😍”
Katelyn MacMullen, who plays Scout’s stepmother, Willow, shared a photo of the pair together in her own Instagram Stories and wrote, “Welcome!! 💐😚❤️” Tokarski responded, “Katey!! Ahhh! I adore you!! Thank you for giving me the largest warm welcome to Port Charles! I’m so honored we’re working together ❤️❤️❤️”
Young and Restless star Courtney Hope (Sally) also expressed her congratulations on Tokarski’s Instagram. “Yes love 😍😍😍 so proud!” she wrote. “Beyond deserved! Can’t wait to watch you soar ❤️.” Hope is vice president of the Breaking the Chains Foundation, an organization that supports mental health, positive body image and emotional wellness through art, and Tokarski serves as one of its youth ambassadors.
Other young daytime actors also posted well wishes for the actress about her new job. Kennedy Garcia (Felicity, Days of Our Lives) enthused, “Yay! Welcome to the soap world!!! ❤️❤️❤️” And Redding Munsell (Harrison, Y&R) declared, “Soaps are the best!! 🙌❤️”
The Port Charles newcomer has already gotten a front-row seat to the show making history: GH shot its milestone 16,000th episode on June 1. “Out of words that I got to experience this historic moment on the most iconic show!!!!!” Tokarski marveled on her Instagram Stories, where she shared a video of the on-set celebration.
Tokarski’s first appearance as Scout won’t air until July, but an exact air date for her debut episode has not yet been revealed.
